• A case under Culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 16/02/2007 at 1900 hrs one Jayanth (45) R/o Sunterpete Mangalore pickuped quarrel with his wife in drunken state. Meanwhile his son Dileep @ Shabarish assaulted him with wooden stick due which his father Jayanth sustained serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on 17/02/2006 at 0645 hrs while under treatment.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case under Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 16/02/2007 in between 1500 hrs and 1545 hrs one Abudul Razak (35) R/o Gandhinagar Sullia committed suicide by hanging in his room at Celebrate Lodge Puttur Taluk owing to health problem.
  
• A case under Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On the night of 15-16/02/2007 one Kusappa Gowda (60) R/o Baanjikodi Ivarnadu village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case under Man missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Anni Naik (62) R/o Shetty Hittlu Kadirudyavara village left his house on 26/08/2007 and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
