Fatal: 02
  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered Mulki Police Station. On 27/01/2007 at 1930 hrs near bus stand at Pakshikere Kemral village Mangalore Taluk one Devu @ Ramesh (27) R/o Pakshikere Kemral village Mangalore Taluk a passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-3645 fell down from the bus and sustained serious injuries while getting down as the driver of the bus moved the bus in negligent manner. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 21/02/2007 at 1320 hrs.
  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 22/02/2007 at 1030 hrs at Mani Town Bantwal Taluk one Umesh rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-K-1524 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vamana Poojary (65) R/o Mani village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1900 hrs.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 22/02/2007 at 2115 hrs near Mutthappa temple Mangalore one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8324 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Railway pole. As a result the railway pole got damaged. No causalities reported.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 21/02/2007 at 1630 hrs at Bailadi Irdhe village Puttur Taluk one Jayarama rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-A-364 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result pillion rider of said motorcycle one Ashok Achari sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint, Criminal trespass, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 22/02/2007 at 0900 hrs accused Abdul Khadar, Sidique, Ashraf, Abdulla, and Ayub forming into an unlawful assembly and entered into the Hotel belonging to one Hameed T. (36) near RTO check post at Talapady village Mangalore Taluk and abused him and his relative Ibrahim in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute.
  • A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 22/02/2007 at 0900 hrs near R.T.O. check post at Talapady village Mangalore Taluk accused Ibrahim, Hameed, Rafique, Nasir, Moosa and Arabi Kunhi forming into an unlawful assembly and abused one Abdul Khadar (65) R/o near Talapady Mangalore Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

  • A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/02/2007 at 1930 hrs accused Abdul Hameed R/o Babbukatte criminally restrained one Badruddin (35) R/o Thokkottu Permannur village and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under the Liquified Petroleum Ras Regulation of Supply and Distribution Rules has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 22/02/2007 at 1600 hrs Suresh Kumar Asst. Director, Rationing Officer Food and Civil supplies Mangalore and DCIB team on credible information conducted a raid on a shop at Chithra junction Mangalore and seized 29 LPG cylinders (22 filled, 7 Empty), 18 empty auto kit cylinders, 4 regulators and a pump by arresting one Asif Ali R/o near Chithra Junction Mangalore. It is learnt that the accused used to divert domestic LPG and illegally fill the auto cylinder kits at higher rates and make profit.
