Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 15-07-2006 at 1300hrs near Siddhakate-Bantwal Road the Driver of the Autorickshaw bearing No. KA-19-B1-919 one Mahesh drove the vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against the compound of a house where in the passengers three passengers travelling in the said sustained grevious injuries. Of these one Mr.Naveen succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Non Fatal:

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 15-07-2006 at 0645 hrs near KSRTC Bus Stand Lalbagh Mangalore one Nandakumara driver of KSRTC bus drove in rash & negligent manner and dashed to the Pillar of KSRTC Bus stand in which the bus was damaged. No casualities reported.

  • A case of Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 15-07-2006 at 1320hrs near Kashi Matta Road Surathkal, one Shrikanth while talking with his friends two persons viz Sadashiv and Gopinath assaulted Shrikanth due to personal rivalry.

  • A case of offence u/s 295 (A) IPC has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the night of 14-07-2006 near Nainadu, Pilathabettu Village in Bantwal Taluk some unknown persons damaged a religious symbol of a particular community with intention of outraging religious feelings.

  • A case of Unnatural death has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 15-07-2006 at 0700hrs near Gandhinagar Kedila Village Bantwal Taluk, one Mr Dharnappa (35) consumed poison and while on treatment in the hospital he was declared dead.

  • Woman named Shakila (23) missing since 24-06-2006. A case has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station.
