- A case of Robbery has been registered in Bajpe Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 20/07/2006 at 1700 hrs near Ajaru Junction Kondamula village Mangalore Taluk, one Pavithra (16) was on her way from college to home by walk. At that time some unknown person came and approached her and asked for the way to go to Kateel. Whilethe girl was showing showing the way, he snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs. 7,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 21/07/2006 at 1530 hrs at K.S.Rao road Mangalore, one unknown motorcycle rider drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to an auto rickshaw No. KA-19-9711 due which the auto rickshaw was damaged and the driver G.Yashwanth Pai (68) sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 20/07/2006 at 2000 hrs infront of Aloysius ITI Building Karangalpady road Mangalore, rider of motorcycle No. KA-19-S-1156 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to Anil (16) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Hit and run Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 21/07/2006 at 0815 hrs in front of Adlabs Building near KSRTC bus stand Mangalore, when Ragunandan, Sashikanth, Prabakar, and Shekar the passengers of the bus No. KA-19-2439 (belonging to Navadurga) were getting down from the bus, the driver moved the bus aheadly negligently due which the passengers were thrown out. They sustained grievous injuries. The driver went away from the spot without stopping.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 20/07/2006 at 1240 hrs on NH-48 near Bollaru Nekkiladi Village, when Ismma @ Mariamma (60) the passenger of the bus No. KA-19-AD-9295 was getting down from the bus, the driver Norbert D’souza (51) moved the bus in a negligent manner by which the passenger was thrown out. She sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Hurt has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station where in Subramanya (52) and Gunajyothi (36) assaulted Sheelavathi (75) by hand at Swamy Compound Nehru Nagar Kabaka Village Puttur Taluk owing to land dispute. The alleged incident has occurred on 17/07/2006 at 2145 hrs.
- A case of attempt to commit theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 21/07/2006 at 1315 hrs near Mangaladevi temple, in route No. 27 bus one accused Nallamma (40) tried to remove the gold chain from a small baby’s neck being caried by one Jasmine (22). The other passengers noticed and alerted the police who rushed to the spot and secured the accused red hand.

On 22/07/2006 at 0230 hrs one Geethananda Shetty (42) S/o Doddanna Shetty R/o Badakkabail House Kairangala Village Bantwal Taluk consumed poison owing to some financial problem and while on treatment at Father Fuller hospital he was declared dead.
