- A case of Robbery has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 26/07/2006 at 2045 hrs at Hosamajalu Koukrodi village Puttur taluk, 04 unknown persons entered the house of one Dr.C.Shivashankar Shastri (55) in the pretext of seeking treatment for stomach ache. Once inside, they tied both Dr.Shastri and his wife Vasanthi with rope and then took away gold ornaments (266 gms) and cash of 22,000/. The total value of property taken away is estimated to be Rs. 2,35,000/.

1. Fatal: 01
- A case of Fatal road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 26/07/06 at 1530 hrs in front of Gurupura Govt. College Muloor Village Mangalore taluk one Sanjiva the driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-416 drove his Lorry in rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3283 due which the rider Yakoob (35) was seriously injured and admitted to Hospital. While under treatment he was declared dead.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 25/07/2006 at 0815 hrs near Fish Market Kaikamba Kandavara village, one Shraya the rider of Yamaha motorcycle bearing Reg No. KA-19-S-8618 drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Ravindra (14) a pedestrian. As a result Ravindra sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 20/07/2006 at 1700 hrs at in front of Hotel Plaza Mudipu-Asaigoli road, one Abdul Basheer the driver of Auto rickshaw KA-19-A-9015 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over due which the auto rickshaw capsized and the passenger Mohideen Kunhi sustained simple injuries.

On 24/07/2006 at 1000 hrs accused Shankara due to some previous enmity criminally restrained Mudaru (40) near Anemajalu Bannur Village Puttur Taluk, abused her in filthy language and also assaulted her by hand.

- A case under the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 26/07/2006 at 1630 hrs PSI and Staff of Puttur Town PS on credible information intercepted a Mini Lorry bearing Reg No. KA-20-457 near over Bridge Marialu Keminje Village and apprehended Hamsa (27) the driver and Mohammed Sharif (36) for illegally transporting Cows without any permit. Police have seized 04 Cows.

- A case of Unnatural death has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 26/07/2006 at 0730 hrs Anitha (32) and her daughter Ramya (10) R/o Pambailu house Koyuru Village Belhangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison owing to personal family matter.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 27/07/2006 at 0900 hrs a dead body was found on the banks of river Netharavathi at Kotepura Ullal. It was later ascertained to be that of one Chitharanjan Shetty (38) who was found missing since 24/07/2006 from Konaje Police Station Limits regarding which a case of missing person was registered there.
- A case of Unnatural Death has been registered in Moodabidri Police Station. On 27/07/2006 between 1000 hrs and 1100 hrs one Chandu Poojary (65) R/o Kallotu Mariyadi House, Kallubettu Village Moodabidre committed suicide by consuming poison owing to health problem.

- A case of Woman missing has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station regarding the missing of one Shashikala (42) W/o Jagannath Acharya Kadavina Bagilu House Ilanthila Village Belthangady Taluk who was found missing since 16/07/2006.
