• A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 23/07/2006 in between 1045 hrs to 1130 hrs some unknown persons committed theft of Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle Reg No. KA-19-L-4680, which was parked in front of T.P.Rao Sweets Shop near Central Market Mangalore.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 24/07/2006 at 1745 hrs near Porkodi Kalambaru Village, one Abdul Hamid the motorcycle rider along with pillion rider Asma bearing Reg No. KA-19-S-1173 drove his motorcycle in a rash and negligent manner and on applying sudden break, he lost control over the vehicle due which the pillion rider Asma fell down and sustained simple injuries.


• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 25/07/2006 at 1215 hrs near Puttur town bus stand, the driver of the auto rickshaw bearing Reg No. KA-21-8530 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and without giving any signal, he turned the auto rickshaw and dashed against the motorcycle No. KA-21-H-7030. As a result the motorcycle rider Damodar Shenoy (20) sustained simple injuries.


• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 25/07/2006 at 1330 hrs at Karinja Cross Kavalapaduru Village Bantwal Taluk, one Chitaranjan the driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg No. KA-19-B-5365 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over it, as a result the auto rickshaw capsized and the passenger Balakrishna Shetty sustained simple injuries.

Missing Persons:

• A case of Missing Person has been registered in Konaje Police Station in connection with the missing of one Chitaranjan Shetty 38 yrs R/o Pade House Pavoor Village Mangalore Taluk. He was last found traveling in a country boat while crossing the river Nethravathi, on the way from his shop to his house on the night of 24/07/06. The boat was found the next day i.e. 2.07/06 in the middle of the river Nethravathi at place called Brud near Adyar with his mobile and 2 bags inside the boat.
