Ullal PS: Three Arrested, Stolen Property Worth Rs.50,000/ Recovered

The Ullal Police staff under the leadership of Mr.Jayanth Shetty CPI Mangalore Rural Circle have nabbed three persons invloved in three separate cases of theft reported recently in the district and recovered various electronic items and other stolen property worth Rs.50,000/ from them.

The names of the accused are:

1. Muvaz 24 yrs (Involved in theft cases earlier also)
2. Abdul Hakim 20 yrs
3. Mohammed Majeed 21 yrs

They all are residents of Ullal. They were picked up by the police on the night of 14/07/06 from Mastikatte on Ullal-Thokkottu road while on routine vehicle checking.

Upon interrogation, they revealed that they have committed theft of two locked houses at Kumpala (on 01/07/06) and Chembugudde (on 09/07/06) areas of Ullal PS limits. They also admitted of having stolen a Kinetic Honda scooter from Benddorwell of Mangalore city(on 8-9/07/06). In this connection, cases have already been registered in Ullal PS and Mangalore East PS.

On their confession, Police have recovered one motor cycle (Hero Honda Splendour), one scooter (Kinetic Honda), a gold necklace, one LG TV, two VCR/VCDs, a stabilizer and other house hold items.

The accused have ben produced before the court and remanded for Judicial Custody.
