- A case of theft has been registered in Konaje Police Station relating to an incident of telephone cable theft. On the intervening night of 17/18-07-2006 near Adkere Mosque Konaje Village Mangalore Taluk, some unknown persons committed theft of cable wire from the telephone poles. About 150 mtr long wire worth around Rs.7200/is reported stolen.

1.Fatal: 01
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 19/07/2006 at 1800 hrs near Shivanagar road Moodushedde Mangalore Taluk one Hathim (35) drove his auto rickshaw KA-19-M-2947 in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over it and dashed to a road side blulder due which he sustained grievous injuries. Later while undergoing treatment in the hospital he succumbed to the injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 20/07/2006 at 0835 hrs near Vittla Bus one Divakar the driver of Maruti Omni No. KA-19-8647 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Manjunath (50) a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 20/07/2006 at 0845 hrs one K.Ganesh Pai driving his Sonata Car KA-19-MA-9677 from KPT Junction towards A.J.Hospital, one truck No. KA-02-D-1256 came in opposite direction being driven in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to the car on the left side due which the car got damaged. No injuries reported.

- A case of Rioting & Criminal Intimidation has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 19/07/2006 at 2030 hrs near Nirmai Bendodi Kollamogaru Village owing to road dispute the accused B. Ragava Korga, Damodara Meera, Seetarama Meera, Narayan Gowda and Talur Mohan Gowda gathered unlawfully and removed the house fence of Kenchamma, Damodara Gowda, Somashekara and also abused them in filthy language. Further the accused assaulted them with stick and also gave threat to their life.

- A case of Unnatural death has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 19/07/2006 at 2030 hrs one pregnant woman Indira @ Veerama (28) R/o Mitheli House Karyathadka Kalanja Village Belthangady Taluk while undergoing treatment in Belthangady Govt. Hospital for stomach pain breathed her last. She was married just a year ago. No foul play alleged before the Taluk Executive Magistrate who conducted the inquest procedings.
