- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 23/07/2006 at 1330 hrs in front of Hotel Abhinandan Kadri Mangalore, unknown driver of the Car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-3383 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against Auto rickshaw bearing No. KA-19-A-8092. As result auto rickshaw driver Thimothi sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 23/07/2006 at 0330 hrs on NH-48 near Neerakatte Bajathoor village Puttur Taluk, one Suresh the driver of Santro car bearing Reg. No. KA-06-P-7575 lost control while driving the vehicle as result of which the vehicle capsized. Driver Suresh and Sachin Jain (25) traveling in the car sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 23/07/2006 at 1320 hrs near Shetelpal Hirebandady Village Puttur Taluk, one unknown rider of motorcycle Reg. No. KA-21-315 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle Reg. No. KA-19-8452. As result the motorcycle rider Sanjeeva Gowda (36) sustained grievous injuries.

On 22/07/06 at 1600 hrs on NH-17 near Holy Street School Thadabail Surathkal, one Subramanya the driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-7269 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against motorcycle bearing No. KA-19-U-8985 due which the rider Rammana sustained simple injuries.

On 22/07/2006 at 2330 hrs CPI Belthangady on credible information apprehended one P.V.Devasya (39) R/o Devagiri Neriya village near St. Thomas Church Gandibagilu Neria Village Belthangady Taluk and seized two leapord pelts worth Rs. 1 lakh. On interrogation, the police also seized an illigal SBML gun from the house of the accused.
- A case U/s 86, 87, 71 (a) Karnataka Forest Act has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 23/07/2006 at 0600 hrs at Natekall cross Konaje Village Puttur Taluk, PSI Konaje on credible information apprehended Irfan (19) R/o Vittla for transporting sandal wood illegally in a Ford Escort car bearing No. KA-P-9693. 40 Kgs of sandal wood worth Rs 40,000/ has been seized. Police are on the look out for two more persons who managed to escape.
