- A case of Burglary has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 24/07/2006 in between 1030 hrs to 1500 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into a house belonging to one M.Sadashiva located at Kudupadavu Kepu Village Puttur Taluk, by break opening the front door lock and stole gold ornaments and Cash of Rs 500/. Total worth of property stolen is around Rs.23, 000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 24/07/2006 at 1145 hrs near Koila School Koila Village Bantwal Taluk, one Tharanath the driver of the bus KA-20-D-7999 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another bus bearing Reg No. KA-19-AB-3788. As a result 15 passengers sustained injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 24/07/2006 at 1630 hrs near Sajeepa Marnabail Munnur Village, the driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MEG-4749 while taking dashed to a motorcycle No. KA-19-U-2760 due which the motorcycle rider Krishna Poojary (27) and pilion rider Sharath (35) sustained injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 24/07/2006 at 1015 hrs at Kashibettu Laila Village Belthangady Taluk, the driver of Tempo Reg. No. KA-20-9759 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Honda Activa motorcycle Reg. No. KA-21-J-3618 due which the motorcycle rider Ramananda Rao (59) sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 24/07/06 at 1420 hrs in front of K.I.A.D.B. Office Baikampady Industrial Area, when Sudhir the passenger of the bus No. KA-19-AA-7860 was getting down from the bus, the driver Narayana moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he was thrown out and sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-249 while driving on a uphill road dashed to one Narendra Bhat (31) who was pushing the vehicle from behind and caused grievous injuries.

On 22/07/2006 at 1340 hrs one Purandara Shetty the driver of the bus bearing No. KA-19-B-8793 while moving between Kateel and Bajpe drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which the spare tyre fell on two passengers Hariprasad and Vasanth who were sitting in the back seat. They sustained grievous injuries.

On 24/07/2006 at 1530 hrs in front of Hotel Koggara Kulshekar Mangalore Taluk, the driver of bus KA-19AC-9495 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to one Christian Halen a pedestrian and caused grievous injuries to her.

- A case under the Prevention of destruction & loss of property Act 1981 together with Rioting and Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 24/07/2006 at 1430 hrs at Hotel Ashirvad near Corporation Bank Kulashekar Mangalore some unknown persons came and ransacked the hotel and also abused the inmates in filthy language. The total damage caused is estimated to be around Rs.50,000/. This seems to be the handiwork of a particular organization and the motive serving of beef in the hotel. In all seven persons have been arrested in this case and they have been remanded for judicial custody.

- A case of Hurt and criminal intimidation has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station where in one Thangachan assaulted B.Shankar (17) by hand and threatened his life at Prince Tyre Puncture shop Adda Hole Shiradi Village Puttur Taluk for not coming to work. The alleged incident has occurred on 24/07/2006 at 0900 hrs.
