- A case under Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. In between 04/05/2007 at 1600 hrs and 06/05/2007 at 0800 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Raghurama S. Bhat (39) R/o Shrinikethana Nivasa Bannuru village Puttur Taluk by bending the ventilator grills and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 3,000/ all in worth Rs. 55,000/.

- A case under Attempt to theft has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 04/05/2007 at 0530 hrs one Honappa Naik (29) R/o Amaramudnur village Sullia Taluk gained entry into the house belonging to one Kaveri K (21) R/o Kattadamajalu Amaramudnur village Sullia Taluk by breaking the front door lock and attempted to commit theft.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/05/2007 at 1430 hrs on NH 48 in front of Petrol pump at Nellyadi village Puttur Taluk one Devappa Gowda driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. GA-01-U-1740 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3879. As a result driver of jeep Naveen, Aisamma (50), Ayub Khan, Harisha, Thimmappa and Udaya who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries. Further Aisamma succumbed to her injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 04/05/2007 at 0015 hrs at Pandeshwara Mangalore one driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3840 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-Z-2326. As a result Prajwal Pinto R/o Maroli Kulashekara Mangalore driver of car and Vaman Bhat who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries and the car also got damaged.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 05/05/2007 at 1000 hrs at Patrahithlu Kolthige village Puttur Taluk one Ibrahim driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6087 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6087. As a result one Naveen (29) R/o Kolthige village Puttur Taluk rider of motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 06/05/2007 at 0825 hrs at Kashibettu Laila village Belthangady Taluk one Kedarappa driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-6926 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-R-8347. As a result one Prashanth Poojary (25) R/o Halladi Akradi village Kundapura Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/05/2007 at 2330 hrs accused Jazeer criminal restrained one Prasad (34) R/o Ullala village Mangalore Taluk his friends Kamalaksha, Shankara, Babu, Sushila and Vasantha at Thokkottu Permannur village Mangalore Taluk and abused him and his friends in filthy language and assaulted them by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 05/05/2007 at 1130 hrs at Golipadpu Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk accused Hassan, Haneef, Siddique and Jubair abused one Haneef in filthy language and assaulted with sword. They also assaulted Yakub (24) R/o Sajipanadu village, Hamza and Umarabba with iron rod who came to help Haneef and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

On 05/05/2007 at 2130 hrs accused Ayub (19) R/o Ullal village and Fayaz (19) R/o Permannur village Mangalore Taluk picked up quarrel and started fighting over a trivial issue in public place at Thokkottu Junction Permannur village Mangalore Taluk. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray.

Unnatural Death Report: 02
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. In 04/05/2007 and 05/05/2007 at 0915 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 25 yrs to 30 yrs was found at Kadri Park Mangalore. It seems to be a case of hanging. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/05/2007 at 0300 hrs one Prakash Pinto (50) R/o Pattaru Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
