- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 0700 hrs one Chandrashekara abused his mother Sundari (66) R/o Kumbarakeri Devachalla village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her with sickle near her house owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 1845 hrs one Rajesh driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-444 drove his vehicle in backward direction in rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Shishupala a Security gard of Astinwal Godown while he was on duty at insde the Astinwal Godown due which Shishupal got serious injuries and died on the spot.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/05/2007 at 0300 hrs on NH 48 at Korameru Ichalampady village Puttur Taluk one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-44-422 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-B-5163. As a result driver of bus Karunakara Shetty (40) sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further driver of lorry and other two passengers who were traveling in the said lorry sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 0830 hrs at K.S. Rao road Mangalore one unknown driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6633 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4854. As a result driver of auto rickshaw one Sudharshan (42) R/o Yemmekere Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 1415 hrs at Madanthyaru Maladi village Belthangady Taluk one Jagadish driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-14-A-2462 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MF-5001. As a result driver of Maruti car Martin Felix D’Souza (56) R/o Babbu Katte Mangalore Taluk and others who were traveling in the said Maruti car sustained grievous injuries and the car is also got damaged.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 14/05/2007 at 2230 hrs at Dharmastala Belthangady Taluk one Ragavendra rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-18-J-5369 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rukmini a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries and Ragavendra rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 1815 hrs at Biladwara Subramanya village Sullia Taluk one Dinesha driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-2627 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Jayesh (05) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 14/05/2007 at 2200 hrs accused Vasantha, Balakrishna, Anil, Padmanabha, Yogisha, Sandeep and others forming into an unlawful assembly at Sidhartha Nagara Malavoor village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Vasantha N. (27) R/o Malavoor village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick. They also assaulted Gopala who came to help Vasantha with stone owing to personal enmity.

On 14/05/2007 at 2130 hrs one accused Pakira, Ravichandra, Kusumadhara and Monta abused one Kujumba (45) R/o Kandikatte Balila village Sullia Taluk in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick near his house and damaged his house. They aslo assaulted his wife and his daughter Baby with wooden stick who came to help Kujumba and gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 15/05/2007 at 2300 hrs one Narayana Poojary (45) R/o Janatha Colony Uruvalu village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to financial problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. In between 15/05/2007 at 2230 hrs and 16/05/2007 at 0600 hrs one Jayakirthi Jain (26) committed suicide by jumping into the water tank at Miyalaje Bajire village Belthangady Taluk owing to owing to financial problem.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Kiran Raj (32) R/o Bondikotya Ullal village Mangalore Taluk left his house on 14/05/2007 at 0730 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
