Fatal: 02
  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 18/05/2007 at 2145 hrs on NH 17 near KPT Mangalore one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-N-9389 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one unknown pedestrian due which he got serious injuries and died on the spot. The Maurti car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 19/05/2007 at 0630 hrs at Soorikumeru Mani village Bantwal Taluk one Abdul Khadar driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-44-982 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bus bearing Reg. No. KA-21-C-4477. As a result Abdul Khadar driver of lorry sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further driver of bus Ananda Poojary (53) and 3 other passengers who were traveling in the said bus sustained simple injuries.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 18/05/2007 at 2030 hrs one unknown driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-05-AC-1112 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-7646. As a result motorcycle rider Razak and pillion rider Rajesh Kamath (28) R/o Kodikal Mangalore sustained grievous injuries. The Tipper driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 18/05/2007 at 1730 hrs on NH 17 near Adankudru Jappinamogaru village Mangalore Taluk one Melwin Castelino rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-3219 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Edward D’Souza (47) R/o Jappinamogaru village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. Further motorcycle rider one Melwin Castelino also sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 19/05/2007 at 1030 hrs at Guruvayanakere Belthangady Town one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3445 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-3212. As a result motorcycle rider Venkatesh and pillion rider Shwetha sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 18/05/2007 at 1200 hrs accused one Roopaksha (45) criminally restrained one Seetharama (55) R/o Peraje village Madikeri Taluk Kodagu district near Janatha Store at Gandhinagara Sullia Town and assaulted him with stone and also gave life threat to him. Motive seems to be civil dispute between them.
  • A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 18/05/2007 at 1200 hrs accused one Seetharama (55) criminally restrained one Roopaksha (45) R/o Peraje village Madikeri Taluk Kodagu district near Janatha Store at Gandhinagara Sullia Town and assaulted him by hand and also gave life threat to him. Motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. One unknown female dead body aged about 45 yrs to 50 yrs was found at Gurupura river near Thaneerubavi Mangalore. The death seems to be due to drowning. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
