  • A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 06/05/2007 at 2130 hrs accused Mathais Rego R/o Hosangady village criminally restrained one Champa (27) R/o Peri Hosangady village near her house and abused her in filthy language and assaulted her with Torchlight. He also assaulted one Ravi by hand who came to help Champa. Motive trivial issue.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 06/05/2007 at 1330 hrs at Ujjodi Kankanady Mangalore one Santhosh driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-A-7053 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4736. As a result one Sudhir (26) R/o Jappinamogaru village Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 06/05/2007 at 1900 hrs on NH 48 at Alape Mangalore one driver of bus Route No. 23 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly due which one Hilda (59) R/o Padil Alape village Mangalore who was traveling in the said bus was thrown out of the bus and sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 04/05/2007 at 1730 hrs at Kashimatta Vittal Town one Abdul Razak rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4374 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result Abdul Hameed R/o Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/05/2007 at 1130 hrs on NH 48 at Gandhi Park Uppinangady Town Puttur Taluk one Suresh Babu driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. MEC-1024 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1311. As a result one Sharif (22) R/o Karaya village Belthangady Taluk rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Hurt, Attempt Murder along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 08/05/2007 at 0130 hrs at Ramanagara Munchoor Surathkal village Mangalore Taluk accused Kailas and Rajesh assaulted one Praveen Shetty (26) with Beer bottle and tried to kill him and they also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

  • A case under Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty along with Hurt has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 07/05/2007 at 1330 hrs accused one Chandru assaulted one Vishawanatha Rai (56) a Traffic Controller of KSRTC Mangalore with wooden stick while he was on duty at KSRTC bus stand owing to trivial issue.

  • A case of abandoning a new born child has been registered in Sullia Police Station on the complaint of one Harish Kanjipili (32) R/o Markanja village Sullia Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that on 08/05/2007 at 1015 hrs some unknown persons left their newborn baby near Kaipalla at Markanja village Sullila and went away.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 23/04/2007 one Gulabi (04) R/o Mularu Kalmanja village Belthangady Taluk consumed some poisons fruits. Further she was admitted to Wenlock hospital where she was declared dead while under treatment on 26/04/2007 at 1230 hrs.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. In between 07/05/2007 at 2200 hrs and 08/05/2007 at 0600 hrs one Govindaraya Achari (68) R/o 5th Block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into well near his house owing to health problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 07/05/2007 at 1730 hrs one skeletal of unknown person has been found at Palya Hennuru Gudde Kukkipady village Bantwal Taluk. It seems to be a case of hanging. Identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Girl missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/05/207 at 1230 hrs one Sharada (17) R/o Idya Vodinala village Belthangady Taluk went to Govt. hospital at Belthangady and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
