In between 30/10/2008 at 2130 hrs and 31/10/2008 at 0700 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of diesel (40 Lts) and Battery from the lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3661 belonging to one Vishwanatha (38) R/o Jokate Thokur village Mangalore Taluk that was parked near his house. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 10, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered Puttur Town Police Station. On 31/10/2008 at 1630 hrs on NH 48 at Gadiyara Kidila village Puttur Taluk one Sharadha (55) a passenger of the KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2224 fell down from the bus and sustained serious injuries while getting down as the driver of the bus moved the bus in negligent manner. Further she was admitted to Wenlock hospital Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 31/08/2008 at 1320 hrs.

On 31/10/2008 at 0830 hrs near Billava Sangha Hall at Sulthanbattheri Mangalore one Rangaswami driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AA-5330 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-MG-8935 driven by one Dinesh (51) R/o New Balmatta road Falnir Mangalore. As a result the car got damaged. No casualties reported.
