- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 02/11/2008 in between 1800 hrs and 1930 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Laptop computer, Passport, DL, ATM card and dress materials that was kept inside the car bearing Reg. No. KA-02-P-2198 belonging to one Rudhramani (31) R/o Thanisandra Bangalore which was parked in front of Coast guard compound at Panambur Mangalore. The value of stolen property is yet to be estimated.

- A case under Cruelty by Husband, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Barke Police Station on the complaint of one Vidhya Shankar (38) W/o Ravi Shankar R/o Flat No. 503 Abhiman Palace Mannagudde Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Ravi Shankar (husband) R/o Flat No. 503 Abhiman Palace Mannagudde Mangalore gave physical and mental harassment to Vidhya Shankar and he also assaulted her and her mother by hand owing to family dispute.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 03/11/2008 at 0730 hrs on NH 17 near J.B. Petrol Pump at Panambur Mangalore one Fedric Vas driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-2273 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-12-MB-2277. As a result Vikarm Bhat (27), Pretham K.R.(26), Anwar (21), Lainal (22) and Shek Shameer (20) who were traveling in the said car sustained serious injuries. Further they were admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where they succumbed to their injuries while under treatment on the same day.

On 02/11/2008 at 1730 hrs accused Jayantha, Ranjan, Vasantha, Jagadeesha and Yogisha forming into an unlawful assembly and abused Ganesha (25) R/o R/o Mangalore City Corporation campus Mahakalipadpu Mangalore in filthy language near his house and assaulted him with wooden stick. The motive seems to be previous enmity between them.
- A case under Rioting, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 02/11/2008 at 1630 hrs accused Vishwanatha, Ganesha, Vasantha, Sundari and Jayamala forming into an unlawful assembly and abused Anuradha (16) R/o Mangalore City corporation campus Mahakalipadpu Mangalore in filthy near her house assaulted her, her father and her brother by hand. The motive seems to be previous enmity between them.

On 01/11/2008 at 1300 hrs accused one Rukmaya Naik R/o Olabavu Kaniyoor village Belthangady Taluk abused one Padma Naik R/o Olabavu house Kaniyoor village Belthangady Taluk and his son near their house and assaulted his by hand and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 02/11/2008 in between 1300 hrs and 1900 hrs one Belinda Sequeira (24) R/o Damaskatte Talipady village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 01/11/2008 at 1830 hrs and 02/11/2008 at 1630 hrs one Umesh (26) committed suicide by hanging at Kattadande Kalanja village Belthangady Taluk owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 01/11/2008 at 1200 hrs one Ashoka Madivala (23) R/o Delanthabettu Kanyana village Bantwal Taluk accidentally slipped into river near his house and died due to drowning.
Missing Persons:01
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 24/10/2008 at 1900 hrs one Dayananda (28) R/o Thannirupantha village Belthanagady Taluk left his house and did not return his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
