- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 08/11/2008 at 1645 hrs on NH 13 at Thenkamijaru Mangalore Taluk one Ismail driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-407 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-9442. As a result one Balakrishna Udupa rider of motorcycle and pillion rider Sudha sustained serious injuries. Further Balakrishna Udupa succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 08/11/2008 at 1300 hrs at Kodialbail Mangalore one driver of auto tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-684 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6129 due which both the vehicles capsized. As a result auto rickshaw driver one Raj Kumar (40) R/o Bajal Pallakere Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 07/11/2008 at 0750 hrs at Permude Mangalore Taluk one driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-9991 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-20-Q-8613. As a result motorcycle rider one Damodhara Acharya (40) R/o Kondemoole village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-S-5969 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Yashawantha Acharya (21) R/o Udupi District a and caused him grievous injuries

On 08/11/2008 at 1100 hrs accused Mhickle S Saldhana, Desa P.B, Anthony Pinto and 20 other persons criminally trespassed into the land belonging to the MSEZ at Kudubipadavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Yadava Kotian (43) R/o Permude Village Mangalore Taluk near Kudubipadavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

On 08/11/2008 at 1045 hrs on credible information PSI L&O Ullal PS along with staff arrested Abdul Aziz (23) R/o Uppala Kerala State and Akbar (32) R/o Uppala Kerala State and seized 450 grams wroth Rs 5,000 of Ganja from thier possession. Police apprehended them while they were selling Ganja near bus stand at Beeri Kotekaru village Mangtalore Taluk.
