- A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 15-16/11/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into DKZPHP School at Darbethadka Olamogaru village Puttur Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of Gas cylinders 4 belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 4, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 16/11/2008 at 2030 hrs at Arla Konalu village Puttur Taluk one Chandrayya rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-2682 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider Chandrayya sustained serious injuries and died on the spot and Dinesh Acharya pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-NP-6203 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Fathima (39) R/o Kulshekara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries

On 16/11/2008 at 1130 hrs accused Vedavyasa Rao P, Krishnappa Yekkaru, Krishna K, Madhukara Amin, Mallappa Gowda, Giriya Gowda, Pandu Gowda, Natesh Ullal, Lawrence D’ Cunha, William, Sadananda Gowda, Pushpa, Lingappa Gowda and Namadeva Sheony forming into unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the land belonging to the MSEZ at Permudepadavu Permude village Mangalore Taluk and criminally restrained one Prabhodha K.S. MSEZ officer and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

The motive seems to be trivial issue.

On 16/11/2008 at 0015 hrs accused Charan Suvarna, Pavan Kumar, Prashanth Kumar, Asgar Robello, Pradeep Fernandez and Lawrence Fernandez picked up quarrel and started fighting over trivial issue in a public place near Yekkur at Kankanady village Mangalore Taluk. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.

On 09/11/2008 at 2300 hrs one Thukarama (35) accidentally fell down while working at Kolachekambla Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk. Further he was admitted to Wenlock. Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 16/11/2008 at 0600 hrs.
