- A case of Burglary has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. In between 14/11/2008 at 1800 hrs and 17/11/2008 at 0900 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into DKZPHP School at Pilikaje Siribagilu village Puttur Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of Gas cylinders 2 belonging to Akshara Dasoha Yojane. The worth of stolen property is Rs. 2, 000/.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1120 hrs at Kotakatte Indabettu village Belthangady Taluk one Mirshad rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4515 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Belthangady where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day at 1155 hrs.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1630 hrs near Govt hospital at Mani village Bantwal Taluk one Umesh driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-D-4041 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-03-AU-6065 due which both vehicle capsized. As a result Tharanatha (18) R/o Panjigudde Padnoor village Puttur Taluk cleaner of said Tempo sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, Yatheesh Kumar (23) R/o Kerala State rider and Dikshith pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 17/11/2008 at 1445 hrs near Boloor Katte at Sulthan Battheri Mangalore one driver of Auto rickshaw Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2223 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Ambulance vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-0638 driven by one Satheesh Ameen (44) R/o Bajal Mangalore. As a result the Ambulance vehicle got damaged. No casualties reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1500 hrs near Boloor Katte at Sulthan Battheri Mangalore one driver of Ambulance vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-0638 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2223 driven by one Satheesh Puthran S. (32) R/o Boloor Mangalore. As a result the auto rickshaw Tempo got damaged. No casualties reported.

On 16/11/2008 at 1600 hrs at Babbukatte Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one Udaya driver of PKickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-8027 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-6204. As a result motorcycle rider Azar and Nazeer Ahammed pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1230 hrs at Kannur Mangalore one driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. TN-37-AR-6940 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Samsira (11) a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/11/2008 at 2140 hrs near KEB office at Sullia Town one Kushalappa rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-12-J-2387 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against KEB compound hall. As a result motorcycle rider Kushalappa and pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Rioting, Criminal trespass, Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge along with Mischief causing damage has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On the night of 16-17/11/2008 accused 6 unknown persons forming into unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into the printing press at Panambur Mangalore and assaulted one Umesh Sapalia (47) Police Constable of Panambur Police Station by hand and with chairs while he was on duty at the same printing press and damaged the window glass and chairs owing to trivial issue.
- A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1230 hrs accused 6 unknown persons forming into unlawful assembly near Bangara Pete at Bantwal Town and abused Abudul Rahiman (29) R/o Shanthinagara Savanoor village Puttur Taluk and Aneesh in filthy language and assaulted them with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.

On 17/11/2008 at 1700 hrs accused unknown 4 persons abused one Maalik (20) R/o 3 rd block Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk near bus stand at Hosabettu village Mangalore Taluk and assaulted him with iron punch and with soda bottle owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Affray has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 17/11/2008 at 1630 hrs accused Ramesh Poojary, Vinayachandra K, Umesh Shetty and Movin picked up quarrel and started fighting over trivial issue in a public place near MCF at Panambur Mangalore. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.
