On 29/11/2008 at 1015 hrs one Usha (30) W/o Harish R/o Moodukare Kandavara village Mangalore Taluk was on her way to home by walk. At that time two unknown person came in a motorcycle and snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away with their motorcycle. The value of the property is Rs. 16,000/.

Burglary: 01

• A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 29/11/2008 at 0130 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Bhushan Bar & Restaurant at Hampankatte Mangalore belonging to one Balakrishna Poonja R/o Bharathi Nagara Bejai Mangalore by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 1,00,000/.

• A case under Procuration of minor girl, Rape, Wrongful confinement along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between 27/10/2008 and 25/11/2008 accused one Venkatesha (22) R/o Panjimogaru Mangalore procured a minor girl R/o Mosque road Panjimogaru village Mangalore and forcibly raped her. Further Venkatesha kidnapped her and wrongfully confined her and also gave life threat to her.

• A case under Cruelty by husband and his relatives along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Surathkal Police Station on the complaint of one Raju Kulal (50) R/o Madyapadavu Surathkal Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Suresha and his mother Rajeevi R/o Sanna Nagara Kulai village Mangalore Taluk gave physical and mental harassment to one Pavithra W/o Suresha R/o Kulai village Mangalore Taluk to bring more dowry due to which on 29/11/2008 at 0100 hrs she committed suicide by hanging in her house.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Outraging modesty of woman along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 29/11/2008 at 0530 hrs accused one Nisar Aliyabba criminally restrained one Renita (28) R/o Uliya Ullal Mangalore near State Bank at Mangalore and outraged her modesty by pulling her hand. He also gave life threat to her.

No. KA-19-N-9218 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9218. As a result one Krishnappa Gatty (57) R/o Jappina Mogeru Mangalore rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 29/11/2008 at 0830 hrs at Satthikallu Kedila village Puttur Taluk one driver of Travera car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-4370 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bicycle. As a result one Mohammed Hyrish R/o Kadeshivalaya village Bantwal Taluk rider of said bicycle sustained simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 29/11/2008 at 1200 hrs near Marigudi at Belalu village Bantwal Taluk one Jayandara Shekara rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-7699 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Poovappa Naik a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 18/11/2008 at 1500 hrs near Jyothi circle at Sullia Town one Rathnakara driver of Pickup vehicle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6236 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Gokuldas (45) R/o Sullia Town a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 27/11/2008 at 1715 hrs near Bus stand at Mitthur Idikadu village Bantwal Taluk one Sunil D Souza R/o Kabaramogeru Balnadu village Puttur Taluk passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AE-7899 while getting down from the bus, the unknown driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries. The bus driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 06/11/2008 at 1845 hrs at B.C. road Bantwal Town one Hameed driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No.KA-19-B-9942 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Mohammed Isak (35) R/o Bantwal Town who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 27/11/2008 at 2230 hrs accused Venkappa Gowda, Krishnappa Gowda, Jinnappa Gowda and Kusuma assaulted one Monappa Gowda (42) R/o R/o Kuvecharu Bajatthuru village Puttur Taluk with iron rod and with sickle owing to trivial issue.

On 26/11/2008 at 1130 hrs one Mutthanna Shetty (52) R/o Kadambila Kelinjaru village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell down from a Palm tree near his house while removing toddy and got seriously injuries. Further Mutthanna Shetty was admitted to Wenlock Hospital at Mangalore where he declared dead while under treatment on 28/11/2008 at 0610 hrs.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 28/11/2008 at 0715 hrs one Aneesh (24) accidentally slipped into Nethravathi River at Snanaghatta Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk while taking bath and died due to drowning.

• A case under Seizure of Stolen property along with M.V. Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 27/11/2008 at 0830 hrs HC 1167, PC 899 and PC 311 of Mangalore South PS while on duty at Mahakalipadpu Jeppu Mangalore apprehended one Mohammad Iliyas (24) R/o Goodinabali Panemangalore village Bantwal Taluk who was found moving suspiciously in a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3557 at Mahakalipadpu Jeppu Mangalore. On enquiry it was learnt that the motorcycle has been stolen somewhere else. Accordingly a case was registered in Mangalore South PS and the motorcycle was seized. The worth of seized motorcycle yet to be estimated.

No. KA-19-S-427 one Harish Kumar sustained grievous injuries.

On 26/11/2008 at 1030 hrs on credible information PSI Bantwal Rural PS along with staff arrested Mohammad Nazeer (32) Maripalla Pudu village Bantwal Taluk and Mohammad Iqbal (29) R/o Ammemar Pudu village Bantwal Taluk and seized 156.200 grams wroth Rs. 890 of Ganja, motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-2918 and cash Rs. 370/- from their possession. The Police apprehended them while they where selling Ganja near farangipete Pudu village Bantwal Taluk. However two more accused Ashraf @ Chote Miyya and Salim @ Daimond Salim manges to escape from the place.

They have been found missing since then.

No. KA-19-B-2250 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break due which one Nijamuddin (13) who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw was thrown out of the auto rickshaw and sustained serious injuries. Further he was succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

Further he was admitted to Govt hospital at Belthangady where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day at 1155 hrs.

No. KA-19-D-4041 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-03-AU-6065 due which both vehicle capsized. As a result Tharanatha (18) R/o Panjigudde Padnoor village Puttur Taluk cleaner of said Tempo sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, Yatheesh Kumar (23) R/o Kerala State rider and Dikshith pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 14/11/2008 at 2230 hrs accused Ramakrishna, Surendra, Ganesha and Ashoka criminally restrained one Ashoka (19) R/o Sajipamunnuru village Bantwal Taluk near Sharadanagara Sajipa munnuru village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and they also gave life threat to him owing to trivial issue.

• A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 15/11/2008 at 2200 hrs on credible information CPI Puttur Rural Circle, PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff intercepted an Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-16-M-3313 at Gondalakana Panaje village Puttur Taluk and seized 6300 sachets (each 100 ML) worth Rs. 94,500/ from the car which was being transported illegally. The said Indica car has also been seized. Indica car driver and another person however escaped from the place. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 3, 94,5 00/.
