Burglary: 01
  • A case under Burglary has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. In between 01/03/2007 at 2215 hrs and 02/02/2007 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri. Munishwara Mahaganapati Temple at Police Lane Mangalore by breaking the door lock committed theft of gold ornaments and silver articles all in worth Rs. 2,60,000/.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 01

  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. In between on 28/02/2007 at 1900 hrs and 02/03/2007 at 0600 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-9055 that was parked in front of Janatha Petrol Pump at Kodikal cross Kulur Mangalore. The total value of stolen vehicle is Rs. 8,00,000/.

Crime against Women: 02

  • A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 03/03/2007 at 1730 hrs accused Jaya Poojary abused one Varija (40) R/o Kolenjekodi Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk in filthy language and assaulted her with a piece of roof tile owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under House Trespass, Hurt, Criminal force with intent to dishonour person along with Criminal intimidation has been registered Ualla Police Station. On 28/02/2007 at 1700 hrs accused Sathisha and Jayaraj criminally trespassed into the house of one Babitha (24) R/o Mogaveerapatna Ullal village Mangalore Taluk and abused her in filthy language and dishonoured her by assaulting with chappals and also gave life threat to her owing to personal enmity.

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station where in one Chandu (65) R/o Kana Idya village Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 01/03/2007 at 2215 hrs. The said Chandu was seriously injured by a Tanker in a road traffic accident on 12/02/2007 at 1900 hrs at Thokur cross Idya village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the A.J. Hospital at Mangalore. In this connection a case has already been registered in Surathkal Police Station.

Non-Fatal: 04

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 01/03/2007 at 0600 hrs at Morgansgate Mangalore one driver of Maruti Zen car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-2337 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravindra a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 28/02/2007 at 1300 hrs in front of Welock hospital Mangalore one driver of bus root No. 43 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Kinetic Honda scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-3395. As a result scooter rider one Ramesh (51) R/o near Adimaya Temple Mangalore sustained grievous injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 28/02/2007 at 1900 hrs at Devarahalli cross Yenekallu village Sullia Taluk one Mahanthesh driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-30-M-554 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4078. As a result motorcycle rider one Neelappa N. Gowda (55) R/o Kashikatte Subramanya village Sullia Taluk sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 28/02/2007 at 1830 hrs at Modubailu Kowkrady village Puttur Taluk one Shivamoorthi driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-A-3859 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-6801. As a result motorcycle rider one Vargees G. (43) R/o Koppa Nelyyadi Puttur Taluk and pillion rider his son sustained grievous injuries.

  • A case under the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act has been registered in Women Police Station. On 01/03/2007 at 1130 hrs ASI of Women PS on rounds arrested one Jameela (42) w/o Sahul Hameed R/o Kana Surathkal Mangalore Taluk who was found soliciting for prostitution at public place near Lady Ghoshan hospital Mangalore.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 01/03/2007 in between 1045 hrs and 1200 hrs one Harisha (23) R/o Kujondi Gundori village Belthangady Taluk accidentally slipped into the pond near his while taking bath and died due drowning.

Missing Persons: 02

  • A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. One Teja Raj Shetty (45) R/o K.S. Road Mangalore who was admitted at Wenlock hospital on 01/03/2007 for treatment. He was left the hospital on the same day at 1300 hrs and did not return back and he has been found missing since then.
