Mangalore Immigration: One Held For Travelling On Forged Passport

One person has been apprehended by Mangalore Immigration for attempting to travel on a forged passport to Dubai on the night of 28/03/2007.

On 28/03/2007 International flight Air India Express IX 801 was to depart from Bajpe Airport to Dubai. During immigration clearance of passengers, suspicion arose on one passenger Thekke Veettil Valson (38) R/o Neeleshwar Kasargod district Kerala state as the photograph on the passport seemed to have been tampered with. On detailed verification and questioning the passenger admitted that the passport does not belong to him. He disclosed his real name as Suvarna N.K (42) R/o Kasargod Kerala state. He admitted that he was trying to travel with the passport belonging to Thekke Veetil Valson by removing the photograph and pasting his own.

As it was confirmed that said N.K Suvarna has used the passport of another person Thekke Veettil Valson by making forgery, impersonation and cheating, he was handed over to the jurisdictional Bajpe PS along with a complaint. Accordnigly a case in Bajpe PS was registered against him on 29/03/07 under the relevant provisions of IPC and the Indian Passport Act 1969.

The accused was produced before the CJM I court Mangalore and remanded for judicial custody.
