• A case under Burglary has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the intervening night of 08-09/03/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the shop at Bolwar Puttur Town belonging to one Manjunatha Rai (64) R/o Salethur village Bantwala Taluk by breaking the shutter lock and committed theft of a Honda Generator. The stolen property is worth Rs. 39,000/.

• A case under Rape has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 04/03/2007 at 1400 hrs accused one Purushothama R/o Sadnspit Bengre Mangalore raped a seven year old girl of Bengre village when she came to his house.

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 1415 hrs at Mission Moole Kemminje village Puttur Taluk one Mohammed Haneef driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. MYC-6278 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6698. As a result motorcycle rider Sudheer (22) R/o Ullal village Mangalore and pillion rider Dikshith (16) R/o Ullal Mangalore sustained grievous injuries. Further Dikshith admitted to Danwanthari hospital at Puttur succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1500 hrs.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 1230 hrs at Marnamikatte Mangalore one driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-676 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Rathnakara (28) R/o Kankanady Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 0815 hrs at B.J. Junction Mangalore one Krishnappa A. driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AB-2410 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a bicycle. As a result bicycle rider Yamunappa (20) R/o Hunagunda Bagalakote and pillion rider his brother Basavaraja sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 0830 hrs on Kalpana road at Kulashekara Mangalore one Siddayya driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-N-8833 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA- 19-V-3929. As a result motorcycle rider one Rehaman K (47) R/o Kulashekara Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 1115 hrs on NH 17 at Kuduremukha junction Mangalore one driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3678 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3678. As a result Ganesh Sankappa Alva (43) R/o Mulky Mangalore Taluk driver of car and his wife who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries and the car also got damaged.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 06/03/2007 at 1100 hrs at Vagga Kavalapadur village Bantwal Taluk one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-1002 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ponkra Poojary R/o Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case under Criminal restraint, Criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 1300 hrs accused driver and conductor of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5539 and others criminally restrained the KSRTC bus driven by one Aziz Pradhani R/o Kannur Mangalore at service bus stand Mangalore and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/03/2007 at 1630 hrs at Kinnadibettu Kellaputhige village Mangalore Taluk accused Kunjeera Poojary, Vishwanatha Poojary and Vanaja Poojarthi abused one Monta Poojary (51) R/o Kallaputtige village Moodabidre in filthy language and assaulted him with sickle owing to civil dispute.

• A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at 1900 hrs accused Madhava, Ravi, Rajesh and Bhatya criminally restrained one Vishawanatha (25) R/o Nalkuru village Sullia Taluk at Mettinadka Nalkuru village and abused him in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand owing to personal enmity.

Unnatural Death Report: 05

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. One Ramanna Gatti (50) R/o Pilinja Golathmanjalu village consumed poison on 04/03/2007 at 1700 hrs owing to health problem. He was admitted to hospital at Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on 08/03/2007 at 1015 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. In between 07/03/2007 and 08/03/2007 hrs at 1300 hrs one Rukma Mugera (58) R/o Nadthi Kallu Mithabagilu village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 08/03/2007 at Vodiyur Karopady village one Vishwanatha aged about 55 years committed suicide by consuming some tablets owing to health problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 07/03/2007 in between 1045 hrs and 1115 hrs one Ananda (22) R/o Vidyapura Kabaka village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to financial problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On the night of 07-08/03/2007 one Anni Poojry (48) R/o Kelembri Belandoor village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 01

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. One Ashwini (23) R/o Ashraya Nagara Dharmasthala village Belthangady Taluk left her house on 06/03/2007 at 1600 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
