On the intervening night of 12-13/03/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Shailaja w/o Prasanna Chandran R/o Attavara Mangalore by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and other household articles all in worth Rs. 23,000/.

On 12/03/2007 at 1800 hrs accused Balakrishna and Shekara abused one Kamala (65) R/o Balathila Soorikumeru in filthy language near her house and assaulted her with wooden stick and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

On 13/03/2007 at 1540 hrs on Basavanagudi road Carstreet Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-2757 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sadananda (08) R/o New Chitra junction Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 02/03/2007 at 1545 hrs near State bank Mangalore one driver of Eicher Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-6415 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5093. As a result one Jayanthi (45) R/o Manipala Udupi who was travailing in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-34-H-7363 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Santhosh Rai (48) R/o Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 13/03/2007 at 1730 hrs on NH 17 at Kottara chowki Mangalore one driver of Maruti omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-MA-7171 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-9488. As a result motorcycle rider Subramanya R/o Krishnapura Surathkal Mangalore and pillion rider of said motorcycle Jayaprakash sustained grievous injuries.

On 09/03/2007 at 1400 hrs near Canara Engineering Baikampady Mangalore one unknown driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-20-1818 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4051. As a result pillion rider of said motorcycle one Mohammed Saleem (19) R/o Angaragundi Mangalore Taluk sustained grievous injuries. The Tipper lorry driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 12/03/2007 at 1350 hrs at Kalavarapete Mangalore Taluk one Girish Shetty driver of Tempo Trax bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-776 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tempo Trax capsized. As a result Ramachandran S (47) R/o Mahilapur Chennai and Nishin Roy who were traveling in the said Tempo Trax sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-21-1332 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Nazir R/o Perne village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 13/03/2007 at 0900 hrs one Henry Mascharenhas (55) R/o Karodi house Kenjaru village Mangalore Taluk accidentally slipped into the pond near his house while taking bath and died of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 13/03/2007 at 1230 hrs the skeletal remains of one Spain national Francisco Alberto Belil was found in the interior forest area of Bandaje Charmadi village Belthangady Taluk. The said Spaniard had come to this area in the month of June 06 and was staying in the forest area there with the help of some local villagers. There after he was found missing and in this connection a representation was received from the Spain Embassy. While enquiring this representation, police came to know that he had visited Charmadi village last year. The enquiries with the villagers led to the recovery of this skeleton. However the cause of death is still to be established. ASP Puttur has been asigned with the investigation.

- A case of Women missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 12/03/2007 at 0700 hrs one Geetha @ Ponni (44) R/o Badiyadka Kasaragod district went to service bus stand at Mangalore and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. One Damodhara Poojary (30) R/o Badagayedapadvu village Mangalore Taluk who was working at Maharaja Resturant at Mallikatte Mangalore has been found missing since 03/03/2007 at 0730 hrs.
