Road Traffic Accidents: 06

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1945 hrs at Deralakatte Mangalore accused one Janardhana driver of Tipper Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-4814 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-4213. As a result motorcycle rider one Prashanth Shetty (28) R/o Belma village Mangalore Taluk sustained grievous injuries. Further Prashanth Shetty was admitted to hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 02/04/2007 at 0025 hrs.

Non-Fatal: 05

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 31/03/2007 at 1730 hrs on NH 17 near Barebail Mangalore one driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-Z-3349 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Matiz car bearing Reg. No. MH-04-Y-7912. As a result Matiz car driver one Roshan Castalino sustained simple injuries and the Matiz car also got damaged.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1445 hrs on NH 48 near Bantwal circle Bantwal Town one Sanjeeva Bhandari driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6447 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Madhava Shettigar (70) R/o Pilathabettu village Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1230 hrs on SH 64 at Bambila Uggabettu Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Hidayathulla driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-13-B-8008 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Innova car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-7027 driven by one Chandrashekara (32) R/o Ullal Mangalore. As a result car got damaged. No casualties reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 31/03/2007 at 0030 hrs near Old station English medium school at Kadaba village Puttur Taluk one Prasad driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-2544 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another jeep bearing Reg. No. KL-14-A-5996. As a result Rohith (26) R/o Bantra village Puttur Taluk, Dayamanthi and Sharanya who were traveling in jeep bearing Reg. No. KL-14-A-5992 sustained grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 01/03/2007 at 1400 hrs at Dabbeli Harekala village Mangalore Taluk one Mohammed Ashraf driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-6992 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing reg. No. KA-19-M-5471. As a result Sadashiva Samani (60) driver of said car and Jagannath Samani S. (58) R/o Harekala village Mangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

Cheating/ Criminal Breach of Trust: 01

• A case under Cheating has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station on the complaint of one Vishnumurthy S. R/o Nehru Nagara Puttur Taluk. The alleged incident has occured in the year 2005 where in accused one Sigbathalla Shareef @ Shareef took a Rs. 6,00,000 advance amount from Vishnumurthy for sanctioning a loan of 10 cores from Al-Amin Investments. Later he cheated the complainant by not sanctioning the loan and by not returning the advance amount either.

• A case under Rioting, Criminal restraint along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1230 hrs accused Sunanda, Leela, Kushala, Prema, Harisha and Sukhesha forming into an unlawful assembly and criminally restrained one Dharmanna Moolya (74) R/o Chavathadi Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk near his house and abused him in filthy language and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.
  
• A case under Rioting, Criminal trespass, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. on the after noon of 01/04/2007 accused Dharmanna Moolya, Umesh Hegde, Sathish Karkera, Sandeep Shetty Devaki, Pushpa and others forming into an unlawful assembly at Kapikadu Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk criminally trespassed into the land belonging to one Harish Shetty (22) R/o Kapikadu Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk with J.C.B Machine bearing Reg. No. KA-19-9517 and abused Harish Shetty in filthy language and damaged the land and also gave life threat to him owing to civil dispute.

• A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1930 hrs at Yeyyadi Mangalore accused Manju and Raju abused one Ramesha B.H. (30) R/o Panjimogaru Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick. He also assaulted Mohan who came to help Ramesha owing to personal issue.
  
• A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 31/03/2007 at 2015 hrs accused Thangaraj and Kuppu swami criminally restrained one Suchith Kumar (18) R/o Jabale colony Ivarnadu village near his house and abused him in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick owing to trivial issue.
  
• A case under Criminal trespass, Hurt, Mischief of causing damage along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 01/04/2007 at 1800 hrs accused Dharmanna Moolya, Umesh Hegde, Sathish Karkera criminally trespassed into the compound belonging Mahakali Temple at Kapikadu Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk and abused Sadhashiva (35) R/o Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk, Divakara Gurikara, Jalandhara in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick and damaged the compound of said temple and also gave life threat to them owing to civil dispute.

Unnatural Death Report: 04

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On the morning of 28/03/2007 one unknown male aged about 50 to 55 yrs fell down due to some illness near Narsari at Mundaje village Belthangady Taluk. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital Belthangady where he was declared dead while under treatment on 31/03/2007 at 2150 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 01/04/2007 in between 0400 hrs 0600 hrs one Jayashree (19) R/o Janatha colony Bannur village committed suicide by jumping into the well near her house owing personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. In between 31/03/2007 and 01/04/2007 at 0700 hrs one Raghavendra (25) R/o Kukkandoor Jalsur village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging at his relatives house at Gudumbe Markanja village Sullia Taluk owing to personal problem.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 02/04/2007 in between 0900 hrs and 1000 hrs one Susheela (85) R/o Pottukere House Balpa village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to health problem.
