- A case under Docoity along with Karnataka Forest Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 17/04/2007 at 0200 hrs about 15 unknown culprits gained entry into the Range Forest Office at Hoigebazar Mangalore by breaking the front gate lock and assaulted Ganapathy (56) R/o Kotekar Mangalore, Mohan, Joy and Prince employees of Forest Dept. with iron rod and tied them and took away approximately 1,200 Kgs of Sandal wood pieces that were kept inside the rooms of the office. They also took away their gold ornaments, a mobile phone and cash Rs. 6,780/ all in worth Rs. 5,74,780/.

- A case of Robbery has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station relating to an incident of chain snatching. On 16/04/2007 at 2230 hrs near Vas lane Mother Theresa road Mangalore one Sinimol Ajith R/o Highland Mangalore was on her way to home by walk. At that time two unknown person came in a motorcycle and approached her and asked for the way to go to P.A. College. While the woman was showing the way, they snatched the gold chain from her neck and ran away. The value of the property is Rs. 30,000/.

- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 15/04/2007 at 1945 hrs accused Ashok Kumar, Azaruddin and Sunil committed theft cash Rs. 4,500/ from the pocket of one Veeranna V.M. R/o Haveri Bagalkote while he was walking near Nehru Maidan Mangalore. Further the accused were arrested red hand and remanded for judicial custody.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 14/04/2007 in between 1000 hrs and 1030 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Bajaj CT 100 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2548 belonging to one Valerian Mascharenhas (61) R/o Kankanady Mangalore that was parked at Badriya Road Mangalore.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 17/04/2007 at 1200 hrs at Kodiyal Arambody village Belthangady Taluk one Gopala Poojary driver of Tipper bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9044 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-75. As a result motorcycle rider Rizwan sustained serious injuries. Further he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 16/04/2007 at 1630 hrs on Nellikayi Road at Mangalore one driver of water Tanker bearing Reg. No. CTX-778 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-9073. As a result motorcycle rider one Somasundara Shetty (20) R/o Kodikal Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 16/04/2007 at 1700 hrs on SH 88 near Goonadka Sampaje village Sullia Taluk one Abdul Khadar rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-H-9540 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Varadaraja and Nirmala and caused them simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result one Ashraf pillion rider of said motorcycle also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 16/04/2007 at 1100 hrs at Dambrody Kadaba village Puttur Taluk one Umesha driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-4758 drove his in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3129. As a result motorcycle rider one Manoj M.T. (28) R/o Kutrupady village Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Forgery along with Cheating has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station on the complaint of Dr.G. Y. Kamath Superintendent of Lady Ghoshan hospital Mangalore. In the complaint it is alleged that the companies M/s We Help Balmata Mangalore, M/s Sai Securities Udupi cheated the Government Hospital by submitting forged documents while applying for tender called by the hospital authorities for various services in the hospital.

- A case under Causing grievous hurt due to negligent act (Sec 338 IPC) has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 14/04/2007 at 1530 hrs at Gurumale Mudunadugodu village Bantwal Taluk, one Manoj Kumar who was working on the Electric Pole got electrocuted and sustained serious injuries due to the negligence act of Praveen Joshi Junior Engineer MESCOM Bantwal.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station. In between 15/04/2006 at 2200 hrs and 16/04/2007 at 2200 hrs one Girija (30) R/o Uchila Someshwara Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by jumping into the Sea near her house owing to personal problem and died due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 15/04/2007 at 1930 hrs one Janardhana Suvarna (68) R/o Valavoor Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk consumed poison in his house owing to health problem and died while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 16/04/2007 at 1300 hrs one Vishal K. (22) accidentally fell while riding a bicycle near School at Soorinje village Mangalore Taluk and got serious injuries. Further Vishal K. was admitted to hospital at Mangalore were he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day at 1600 hrs.
Missing Persons: 02
- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1730 hrs one Theresa (16) R/o Jeppu Mangalore went to St. Joseph Church at Jeppu Mangalore and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
- A case of Man missing has been registered in Ullal Police Station. One Ramachandra (47) R/o Bagambila Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk left his house on 09/04/2007 at 1915 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
