- A case under Burglary has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 13/04/2007 in between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Dr. U. Guruprasad (47) R/o Prasad Nilaya Ujire village Belthangady Taluk by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of Sony video camera and a mobile phone all in worth Rs. 17,000/.

No. KA-19-S-2480 belonging to one Charan Kumar (29) R/o Bantwal Town which was parked in front of Vasudeva Plaza building at Bantwal Town. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 30,000/.

On 13/04/2007 at 1700 hrs on NH 13 at Suralpadi Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk one Yogish Bhat rider of Bajaj M80 scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-1113 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vyasaraya Acharya (51) R/o Neerude Kompadavu village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further Vyasaraya Acharya was admitted to hospital at Kinnigoli Mangalore Taluk where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 14/04/2004 at 0100 hrs.

No. KA-19-AD-313 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner in backward direction and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-H-17. As a result motorcycle rider Premanatha (32) R/o Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk and Sachin pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.

No. GJ-11-X-9677 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-3573. As a result Dr. Ramachandra Bhat (38) driver of said car and his wife Dr. Aruna R/o Duggaladka Sullia Taluk who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

As a result motorcycle rider Sandeep Shetty (21) R/o Gurupura village Mangalore Taluk and Rukmayya pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-18-AC-4545 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a car bearing Reg. No. KA-25-N-3818. As a result Prasanth Thammannanavar (41) R/o Hubli District, Abhilash (13) and Yogisha (23) who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

On 13/04/2007 at 0720 hrs at Nekkilady Uppinangady Puttur Taluk one Yogesh Kumar K.R driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2554 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2230 from behind. As a result one Yashodhara cleaner of the said lorry sustained simple injuries.

On 13/04/2007 at 1700 hrs at Mareel Kemminje village Puttur Taluk one Mohmmad Iqbal rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-3826 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ramakrishna (55) R/o Kemminje village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 12/04/2007 at 2130 hrs accused Lathisha @ Madhukara Survana, Devadasa, Lathif and Santhu criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Vasudeva (47) R/o Killur Mithabagilu village Belthangady Taluk and criminally restrained one Vasudeva and assaulted him by hand and with iron rod and damaged the house by pelting stones and also gave life threat to him. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 2030 hrs at Killuru Mithabagilu village Belthangady Taluk accused Vasudeva abused Devadasa (26) R/o Kavalamuduru village Bantwal Taluk and Santhosh in filthy language and assaulted them with stone. The motive seems to be dispute over timing of the bus routes.

No. KA-19-F-1678 abused one Muthappa (24) a conductor of the said bus in filthy language and also assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
