Ordinary Theft: 02

• A case of Servant theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1930 hrs at Falnir Mangalore one Vijay Kumar who was working as a driver of car belonging to one U.K Monu, President of Kanachur Group of Society Deralakatte Mangalore Taluk committed theft of cash Rs. 2,00,000/ and other documents kept in the the owners car.
  
• A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1515 hrs on credible information PI DCIB apprehended three persons viz. Sudharshan (23) R/o Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk, Nagaraja (20) R/o Haleyangady Mangalore Taluk and Jagadish Shet (42) R/o Sagar Shimoga district who were found trying to sell stolen gold ornaments. It is learnt that the gold ornaments have been stolen somewhere else. Accordingly a case has been registered in Urwa PS and gold ornaments seized. The seized gold ornaments are worth Rs.80,000/.

• A case under House trespass, Hurt along with Attempt to Murder has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 06/04/2007 at 0030 hrs accused Choma, Deyya and Vasantha criminally trespassed into the house belonging to one Rathnavathi (57) R/o Majal Markaja village Puttur Taluk and abused her in filthy language and attempted to murder her and her son Madhukara by assaulting them with wooden stick and knife and also gave life threat to them owing to trivial issue.

Fatal: 01

• A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1730 hrs in front of Popular farm Maravoor village Mangalore Taluk one Swamy driver of Tipper lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-13-4342 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another lorry bearing Reg. No. MEG-1843 due which driver of Tipper lorry lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-6385 and a motorcycle bearing Reg. No.KA-19-U-7206 that was behind lorry due which Tipper lorry and Maruti omni car capsized. As a result Suresh (54) R/o Munnur village Mangalore Taluk driver of Maruti omni car sustained grievous injuries. Further Sabitha @ Rama (55) R/o Munnur village Mangalore Taluk, Shaila, Mamatha, Danush, Savin, Rakshitha and Pavan who were traveling in the said Maruti omni car also sustained simple injuries. Of these Suresh succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/03/2007 at 1130 hrs at Tharethota Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CNX-8524 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Dheeraj U.K (25) R/o Vogga post Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the spot without stopping his vehicle.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 04/04/2007 at 1930 hrs on NH 13 at Thodar village Mangalore Taluk one Francis Sequera driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-A-560 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vittu @ Vittala Shetty (60) R/o Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1215 hrs on NH 17 at Thokkottu Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-8197 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-3794 due which auto rickshaw driver lost control over his vehicle and rammed to another Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No.KA-19-N-7953. As result driver of auto rickshaw Ashok and driver of Maruti car Pushparaj (28) R/o Pilar Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk both sustained simple injuries.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 04/04/2007 at 1645 hrs one Vashishta Yadava driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. HR-47-9297 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed aganist a iron beam near Railway bridge at Bantwal Town belonging to Railway department. As a result iron beam got damaged. No casualties reported.
  
• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1500 hrs at Vokalu Bajathur village one Jonson driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-01-S-7593 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-15-M-471. As a result driver of jeep Shekara, Anil Kumar (18) and Raghunath who were traveling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On the night of 04/04/2007 one Sanju (23) R/o Sunkadakatte Kolambe village Mangalore Taluk consumed poison in her house owing to personal problem. She was admitted to A. J. hospital Mangalore where she was declared dead while under treatment on 05/04/2007 at 0115 hrs.
  
• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. One Thimmappa Baira (60) R/o Pallathadka Keyyur village Puttur Taluk consumed pesticide on 04/04/2007 at 2020 hrs in his house owing to personal problem. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Puttur where he was declared dead while under treatment on same day.
