Fatal: 01
  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station where in one Anishyam (25) w/o Shyamkumar R/o Shakthinagara Mangalore Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 19/04/2007 at 0855 hrs. The said Anishyam was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 17/04/2006 at 1600 hrs on NH 17 at Beeri Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk and admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Ullal Police Station.

Non-Fatal: 03

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 17/04/2007 at 2215 hrs at Falnir Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-5534 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result one Vinayachandra (26) R/o Kavalakatte Mundur village Bantwal Taluk who was travelling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 17/04/2007 at 1100 hrs at Kolpe Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk one Ashraf driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-01-6991 drove his vehicle in a rash and dashed against one Sadique (26) R/o Nellyadi Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. Further lorry driver lost control over his vehicle due which vehicle capsized. As a result cleaner of said lorry also sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 06/04/2007 at 1000 hrs on NH 13 near Basavanakaje Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk one Padmannna Poojary driver of Maruti omni car driver bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-163 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-20-C-74. As a result auto rickshaw driver one Ashpak Ahammad (25) R/o Padumarnadu village Mangalore Taluk sustained simple injuries.

  • A case under Criminal restraint, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 18/04/2007 at 1830 hrs accused Abdul Rahiman, Palla Ibrahim, Musthafa, Shareef and Naseer criminally restrained a motorcycle at Shanthiyangady Bantwal Town and abused rider of said motorcycle one Mohammed Haneef (34) R/o Shanthiyangady Bantwal Town in filthy language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick and also gave life threat to him owing to personal enmity.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 13/04/2007 at 2230 hrs one Shantha w/o Keshava M. R/o Ambedkar colony Madyapadavu Mangalore Taluk sustained serious burn injuries while trying to light a Kerosene lamp in her house. She was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 18/04/2007 at 1115 hrs.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 18/04/2007 at 1000 hrs one unknown male dead body aged about 40 yrs to 45 yrs was found near Netravathi Snanagatta Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk. The death seems to be due to consuming some poison.

Missing Persons: 01

  • A case of Girl missing has been registered in Mulki Police Station. One Sridevi (19) R/o Mulki Manampady village Mangalore Taluk went to Karnad Mangalore Taluk on 11/04/2007 at 0800 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
