- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 1700 hrs on NH 48 at Periyashanthi Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk one Prashanth Raj driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-01-F-8261 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Bajaj M-80 scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-M-8119. Further the bus driver lost control over his vehicle due which the bus capsized. As a result scooter rider Vittal Shetty and pillion rider Sunandha sustained serious injuries where in Vittal Shetty died on the spot and some passengers who were traveling in the said bus also sustained simple injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 1115 hrs near State Bank Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-6082 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Kamala w/o Babu R/o Bajal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 1455 hrs near Bejai Mangalore one Rajesh driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-662 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-M-8312. As a result one Lawrence D’Cunha (42) R/o Permude village Mangalore Taluk driver of said car sustained simple injuries. The Maruti car also got damaged.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 11/04/2007 at 2030 hrs on Kuduremukha- Tannirubavi road Panambur Mangalore Taluk one driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-07-AA-2957 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-6385. As a result motorcycle rider Neelappa (28) R/o Thannirubavi Mangalore sustained grievous injuries and Hanumantha pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 10/04/2007 at 0930 hrs at one Roshan Naik rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-7621 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prakash (30) R/o Ullal village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 1545 hrs one Teja Kumar driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-3080 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-7258. As a result motorcycle rider one Ganesh K.S. (42) R/o Kalmaru village Sullia Taluk and pillion rider his son Apoorva G. Bhat sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 1630 hrs one Joshi driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-12-M-6606 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and applied break suddenly with out giving signal due which the motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-3565 which was behind the Jeep rammed to it from back. As a result one Harish Kumar M.T rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 11/04/2007 at 2145 hrs accused Shameer @ Mohamed Shameer (34) and his wife Fouziya (27) R/o Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk attempted to kill one Baby John (53) R/o Kumpala Bypass Someshwara village Mangalore Taluk and her son Mohammed Rafique by throwing acid bottle on them due which both sustained serious injuries. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 22/04/2007 at 0745 hrs one Geetha (45) w/o Vasu Naik R/o Paladka village Mangalore Taluk while working at Mundudi Paladka village Mangalore Taluk accidentally touched the electric wire due which she got electrocuted and died.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Town Station. On the night of 11-12/04/2007 one Leo D’Souza R/o Kambalbettu Bantwla Taluk committed suicide by hanging near Patravo hospital Puttur Taluk owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Station. On 12/04/2007 in between 0700 hrs and 0830 hrs one Appayya Shettigar (60) R/o Ujire Majalu Hathyadka village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Kavoor Police Station. On 12/04/2007 at 2300 hrs one Girija (28) R/o Ambikanagara Panjimogaru village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in her house owing to personal problem.
