  • A case under Burglary has been registered in Mulki Police Station. In between 06/04/2007 at 1330 hrs and 07/04/2007 at 1630 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to Saverine D’ Souza (62) R/o Bithupade Thalipady village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 23,000/.

  • A case under Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 06/04/2007 at 1345 hrs accused Maruthi assaulted his wife one Nagalakshmi R/o Mudipu Balepuni village Bantwal Taluk with sickle in her house and also gave life threat to her owing to family dispute.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 07/04/2007 at 0945 hrs at Lalbagh Mangalore one driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1340 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9912 from behind due which auto rickshaw driver lost control and rammed to another bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-9995 from the front. As a result auto rickshaw driver Prem Saldhanha (26) R/o Urwa Mangalore sustained simple injuries and auto rickshaw also got damaged.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 06/04/2007 at 1930 hrs near K.P.T Mangalore one unknown motorcycle rider drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-8788 driven by one Manohara A.P. (43) R/o Padavinangady Mangalore Taluk. As a result Manohara A.P rider of said motorcycle bearing Reg. No KA-19-L-8788 sustained simple injuries. The other motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 06/04/2007 at 1215 hrs at Uppinangady Puttur Taluk one Chandrashekara driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-6248 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Rahiman (41) R/o 34th Nekkilady village Puttur Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

On 07/04/2007 at 1740 hrs at Sootarpete Mangalore one Prashanth employee of Mescom abused his colleague one Johnson Santhosh Kumar (25) R/o Mulihithlu Mangalore in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Criminal restraint along with Hurt has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 07/04/2007 at 1330 hrs at Naithangady Katipalla village Mangalore Taluk accused Lathish and Rajesh criminally restrained one Mohammed Haneef (35) R/o Katipalla village Mangalore and assaulted him by wooden stick owing to trivial issue.
  • A case under Hurt has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 05/04/2007 at 1730 hrs at Sonandoor Shiradi village Puttur Taluk accused Shambha Shiva assaulted one Kittu (32) R/o Shiradi village Puttur Taluk by hand and with stone owing to trivial issue.

Unnatural Death Report: 01

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 07/04/2007 at 1200 hrs one male dead body aged about 45 yrs to 50 yrs was found in Nethravathi river at old Nethravati Bridge Bantwal Town. It seems to be a case of drowning. Identity ofthe deceased is yet to be ascertained.
