- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 01/04/2008 at 2045 hrs accused one Chandrashekara Shetty R/o Gorigudda Valencia Mangalore abused his sister one Nalini (40) R/o Goridudda Ujjodi Mangalore in filthy language near her house and assaulted her by hand and also gave life threat to her. The motive seems to be civil dispute between them.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 01/04/2008 at 1900 hrs at Hoyeege Dakke Adamkudru Jeppinamogaru village Mangalore one Manu @ Madhava (19) R/o Uppinangady Kaniyoour village Belthangady Taluk cleaner of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-5818 while getting into the said lorry, one Mohammed Shareef driver of said moved the lorry in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the lorry and sustained serious injuries and succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 01/04/2008 at 0515 hrs at Kuntalapalke Devasya Padoor village Bantwal Town one Jayaram driver of Tractor bearing Reg. No. KA-13-A-2709 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which Tractor capsized. As a result one Jayarama driver of Tractor sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Further Musthafa K. (24) R/o Kodiyadka Nettanige Mudnoor village Puttur, Basavaraju and Ranganatha who were traveling in the said tractor sustained grievous injuries.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 31/03/2008 at 1530 hrs at Pullotte Nellyadi village Puttur Taluk one Saji rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-8808 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-22-L-4525. As a result Deelip rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-22-J-4525 and Donlook (19) R/o Nelyadi village Puttur Taluk pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bantwal Rural Station. On 31/03/2008 at 1300 hrs at Madda Kavalapadoor village Bantwal Taluk one Thanweer Reheman rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-E-4063 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Felics a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 01/04/2008 at 1445 hrs at 7th cross Charamady village Belthangady Taluk one driver of Eicher lorry bearing Reg. No. AP-02-U-6123 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-F-2524 driven by one Vasudeva Moorthy. As a result both vehicle got damaged. No causalities reported.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. In between 31/03/2008 and 01/04/2008 at 0800 hrs one Krishna Naik (55) R/o Yenekallu Sullia Taluk committed suicide by hanging at Panja Ivathoklu village Sullia Taluk owing to health problem.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Women missing has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. One Gangamma (56) R/o Railway Quarters Kuali village Mangalore left her house on 17/03/2008 at 0830 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
