- A case of Burglary has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 21/04/2008 in between 0815 hrs and 1330 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the house belonging to one Venkappa Bhandary (42) R/o Chilimbi Garden Basavanagudi Mangalore by breaking the back door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 50,000/ all in worth Rs. 1,10,000/.

- A case under Rioting, Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, Mischief of causing damage, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1030 hrs accused John Bastion, Valter D’Mello, Babitha, Soufia D’ Souza, Dickson D’Souza, Cyril D’Souza, Mathra D’ Souza and Defney D’Souza forming into an unlawful assembly and abused one Dora D’Souza W/o Dolphin D’ Souza R/o 7th cross road Atthavara Mangalore near her house in filthy language and assaulted her by hand and with chair. They also damaged the house by pelting stone and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

On 20/04/2008 at 1300 hrs accused one Gopala Belchapada criminally restrained one Rishwitha (14) D/o Seetharama Rai R/o Belya Ajjavara village Sullia Taluk near her house and abused her in filthy language and also gave life threat to her owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1910 hrs on NH 17 at Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KL-14-J-6437 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Narayana (55) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further Narayana succumbed to his injuries while on the way to hospital.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1645 hrs near Laxmi Transport at Baikampady Mangalore one Manjunatha driver of lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AA-9745 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Thomas (56) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to AJ hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on same day.

On 21/04/2008 at 1320 hrs at Urundadygudde Panjemogeru village Mangalore Taluk one unknown driver of Tanker bearing Reg. No. KA-19-3474 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle and dashed against a house. As a result Samshad Begam, Safan and Zarina who were inside the house sustained grievous injuries and also house got damaged. The Tanker driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 0900 hrs near Kuduremukha bus stand at Panambur Mangalore one Sundara driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-6880 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Panduranga Amin a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1100 at Shanthinagara Nidle village Belthangady Taluk one Arun Kumar driver of Hyundai car bearing Reg. No. KA-20-MB-8196 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-A-5333. As a result jeep driver one Prakash (25) R/o Konaje village Puttur Taluk sustained simple injuries.

On 21/04/2008 at 1925 hrs on credible information PSI Mulki PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Lingappayyakadu Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk and seized 119 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 4,800/ and cash Rs. 200/ by arresting Gulabi (56) R/o Ashraya Colony Lingappayyakadu Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk. However another accused Manju @ Manjunatha (40) R/o Ashraya Colony Lingappayyakadu Karnadu village Mangalore Taluk managed to escape from the scene.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1930 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Hosamatta road Charmadi village Belthangady Taluk and seized 36 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,200/ by arresting Koragappa Gowda (30) R/o Parlani Charmadi village Belthangady Taluk.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1930 hrs on credible information PSI Subramanya PS along with staff conducted a raid on a shop at Dekkal Yedamangala village Sullia Taluk and seized 14 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 380/ by arresting owner of the said shop one Seetharama D. (42).
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 1720 hrs on credible information PSI Bantwal Town PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Yermude Mundeguri Amtadi village Bantwal Taluk seized 60 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 2,100/. However accused one Valli Pinto (39) R/o Yermude Mundeguri Amtadi village Bantwal Taluk managed to escape from the scene.
Unnatural Death Report: 02
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 21/04/2008 at 0900 hrs one Geetha (24) R/o Kateel Ajaru Kondamoole village Mangalore Taluk attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in her house owing to personal problem. Further Geetha was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital at Mangalore where she declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1130 hrs.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 18/02/2008 at 1700 hrs one Jubaida (26) R/o Keremoole Uppinangady village Puttur Taluk accidentally got serious burn injuries while lighting a kerosene lamp in her house and she was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 21/04/2008 at 0500 hrs.
