- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. In between 10/04/2008 at 2300 hrs and 11/04/2008 at 0400 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Maruti 800 car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-M-8164 belonging to one Mohammed Bhava (30) R/o Kallabettu village Mangalore Taluk that was parked at Swaraj Maidan Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk. The Maruti car is worth Rs. 21,000/.

- A case under Criminal restraint, Outraging the modesty of women along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 12/04/2008 at 1445 hrs accused Prakash D’Souza criminally restrained one Roopitha Lidwin Mascarenhas R/o Acharikodi Panjikallu village Bantwal Taluk at Kajebailu Panjikallu village Bantwal Taluk and outraged her modesty by pulling her dress and also gave life threat her.

- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1830 hrs at Gurupura Bandasale Muloor village Mangalore Taluk one driver of car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-2242 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Hrithvik Kava (06) S/o Sathish Kava R/o Bandasale Muloor village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. Further he was admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 14/04/2008 at 0355 hrs.

On 11/04/2008 at 1130 hrs on NH 48 at Garody Kankanady Mangalore one Preetham rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-7913 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Mahabala Shetty (65) R/o Kembar Alape village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 12/04/2008 at 2400 on NH 17 at Jeppinamogeru Mangalore one Manjunatha driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-25-A-4766 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-30-M-3931. As a result Maruti car driver Mahesh Nayak R/o Santhoshnagara Munnur village Mangalore Taluk and his mother Meera Nayak who was traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-AB-6599 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-05-Z-9753 driven by one Surendra Devagida (36) R/o Padumarnadu village Moodabire Mangalore Taluk. As a result Maruti car got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 05/04/2008 at 1500 hrs at Mura Muchuru village Mangalore Taluk one Gopala driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1980 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner due which one Nonayya Gowda (29) R/o Muchur village Mangalore Taluk who traveling in the said auto rickshaw was thrown out from auto rickshaw and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 11/04/2008 at 1700 hrs at Thakod Maruru village Mangalore Taluk one Umesha Gowda driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-8182 drove his vehicle in a rash and neglignet manner due which one Umananda Gowda (26) R/o Sangabettu village Bantwal Taluk was traveling in the said tempo sustained grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. On 12/04/2008 at 1230 on NH 48 at Uppinangady Town Puttur Taluk one Raveendranatha Reddy driver of Indigo car bearing Reg. No. KA-51-N-6213 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA- 21-J-1071. As a result one Mathai rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

- A case under Causing death due to negligence (sec 304 A) has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1630 hrs Sajini (04) and Arafath (04) both residents near Ganesh Beedi at Kana Iddya village Mangalore accidentally slipped into the water tank while playing near their house and died due drawing due to the negligence of one owner of said place.

On 13/04/2008 at 2100 hrs on credible information PSI Belgthangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Kanyadi Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk and seized 30 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.900/ and cash Rs. 160/ by arresting one Ramanna Gudigara (45) R/o Kanyadi Dharmastala village Belthangady Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1930 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Rural PS along with staff conducted a raid on a shop at Doddaka Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk and seized 04 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.210/ by arresting Manoj G. Poojari (28) R/o Genasina Kumeru Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk and Saraswathi R/o Doddadka Ariyapu village Puttur Taluk who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1100 hrs one Damodhara Poojary R/o Pachanadi village Mangalore Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 06/04/2008 at 1230 hrs one Dileep Pramanik (35) R/o Nadiaya District West Bangal State accidentally got serious injuries while working at BPCL Plant at Baikampady Mangalore. Further he was admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 13/04/2008 at 0430 hrs.
Missing Persons: 01
- A case of Girl missing has been registered in Panambur Police Station. One Varsha (18) R/o NMPT colony Panambur Mangalore left her house on 10/04/2008 at 1400 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
