- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 11/04/2008 at 1930 hrs near Kottar Bus stand at Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-E-9795 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a one Shekara Kottara a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries. Further he was admitted to A.J. hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Ullal Police Station. On 06/04/2008 at 1740 hrs on NH 17 at 1st Kolya Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one Ramani (67) R/o 1st Kolya Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-18-D-9777 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which she fell down from the bus and sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Ullal Police Station. On 11/04/2008 at 0830 hrs on NH 17 at 2nd Kolya Kotekaru village Mangalore Taluk one Richard Mello driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-7850 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due bus fell into a roadside ditch. As a result one Adi Kumar (18) R/o Pavoor Mangalore cleaner of the said bus sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 11/04/2008 at 1600 hrs near Taluk office at Puttur Town one unknown driver of Bolero car bearing Reg. No. KA-13-M-4506 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-2148. As a result one Yashwanth (38) R/o Bannur village Puttur Taluk driver of said Maruti omni car sustained simple injuries. The Bolero car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 11/04/2008 at 2115 hrs on credible information PSI Panambur PS along with staff conducted raid on Hotel Pooja at Beach cross Panambur Mangalore and seized 38 liquor bottles (180ml) and 20 Tin beer bottles of worth Rs. 2,300/ by arresting Shanawaz (28) and Abdul Rashid R/o Kunjathabail Kavoor Mangalore who were selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

- A case of Women missing has been registered in Urwa Police Station. One Kavitha W/o Vasantharaj R/o Marigudi 1st cross Mangalore left her house On 01/03/2008 at 1500 hrs and did not return her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
- A case of Children missing has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. Kavya (14) and Jyothi (10) both residents of Teachers Quarters Belthangaday Town left there house on 09/04/2008 at 1845 hrs and did not return their house there after. They have been found missing since then.
