- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1300 hrs at Kallagudde Ammunje village Bantwal Taluk one Vishwanatha (42) passenger of the bus bearing Reg. No. KA-19-AC-3757 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained serious injuries. Further he was admitted to Govt. hospital at Bantwal where he declared dead while under treatment on same day at 1415 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore North Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1500 hrs at Carstreet Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-B-1073 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Honda Activa scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-R-3388. As a result Honda Activa scooter rider one Neri Wilfred Pinto (21) R/o Thukkottu Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1330 hrs at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one driver of Ambassador car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-1163 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-2058 driven by one Babu (24) R/o Kavoor Mangalore. As a result auto rickshaw got damaged. No causalities reported.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1400 hrs in front of Gopalakrishna Bhajana Mandira at Bikarnakatte Mangalore one driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. KA-19-A-1750 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against pedestrians Subhartha (21) R/o Bikarnakatte Mangalore and Suchitha and caused them simple injuries. Further auto rickshaw driver lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Dayananda who was traveling said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 0515 hrs on Nethravathi Bridge at Jeppinamogeru Mangalore one driver of jeep bearing Reg. No. CTH-2772 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-3794. As a result one Thalahath (28) R/o Ullal Mangalore driver of said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-19-AC-4849 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Nowfal (13) R/o Ulaibettu village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 0100 hrs at Darbe Puttur Town one driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KL-10-F-7413 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-8786. As a result scooter rider Sudhir Kumar and pilion riders of said scooter Yashas and Jathin sustained grievous injuries.

On 20/04/2008 at 1700 hrs on credible information PSI Vittal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Malangipadavu Veerakamba village Bantwal Taluk and seized 14 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 490/ and cash Rs. 630/ by arresting Krishna R/o Surulimoole Vittal Bantwal Town who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

On 21/04/2008 at 0930 hrs on credible information PSI Vittal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Bantrinja Ananthady village Bantwal Taluk and seized 12 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 480/ and cash Rs. 500/ by arresting Chandrahasa (31) R/o Ananthady village Bantwal Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 20/04/2008 at 1900 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Adyadka Thodikana village Sullia Taluk and seized 43 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1161/ and cash Rs. 130/ by arresting Annadorai (35) R/o Adyadka Thodikana village Sullia Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
