- A case under Cruelty by husband along with Abetment of suicide has been registered in Belthangady Police Station on the complaint of one Hameed S.U. (46) R/o Nelligudde Killoor Mitthabagilu village Belthangady Taluk. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Haidarali R/o Nelligudde Malavanthige village Belthangady Taluk gave physical and mental harassment to one Fouziya (21) W/o Haidarali to bring more dowry due to which on 16/04/2008 at 2200 hrs she attempted to committed suicide by pouring kerosene herself and she got serious burn injuries and admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where she succumbed to her injuries while under treatment on 17/04/2008 at 0900 hrs.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 17/04/2008 at 2015 hrs at Ullalabailu Ullal Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. Ka-19-R-4672 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ravindra (55) R/o Ullal Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Ullal Police Station. On 17/04/2008 at 2100 hrs at Chembugudde Permannur village Mangalore Taluk one Juicy D’Souza passenger of the bus bearing Reg.No. KL-14-D-5333 while getting down from the bus, the driver of bus moved the bus in a negligent manner due which he fell down from the bus and sustained grievous injuries.

On 17/04/2008 at 2100 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Killoor Mitthabagilu village Belthangady Taluk and seized 29 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 900/ by arresting one Vasudeva Semitha P. (48) R/o Mitthabagilu village Belthangady Tauk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

On 17/04/2008 at 1800 hrs on credible information PSI Bantwal PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Nati Narikombu village Bantwal Taluk and seized 14 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 445/ by arresting one Srinivas Poojary (44) R/o Narikombu village Bantwal Tauk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
