- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 08/04/2008 at 0745 hrs on Balikashrama road at Falnir Mangalore one unknown bus driver drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Riyaz Ahammed (58) R/o Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 05/04/2008 at 1650 hrs near Bajpe bus stand at Mangalore one Prashanth rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. PB-02-U-1804 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Vasudeva Kamath R/o Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 08/04/2008 at 1435 hrs on Thaneerbhavi road at Mangalore one Vivekananda driver new car drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which car capsized. As a result Naveen (23) R/o Bolliyaru Kalmadka village Sullia Taluk and Sharath who were traveling in the said car sustained simple injuries.

On 07/04/2008 at 1530 hrs at Mithoor Idkudu village Bantwal Taluk one Mahesh Kumar driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-8846 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which auto rickshaw capsized. As a result Usman (40) R/o Vittal Mudnoor village Bantwal Taluk and his wife Jainaby who were traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.

On 08/04/2008 at 2000 hrs on credible information PSI Bajpe PS along with staff conducted a raid on house at Ukri Badaga Yadapadavu village Mangalore Taluk and seized 32 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 850/ by arresting Sharif (45) R/o Ukri Badaga Yadapadavu village Mangalore Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
- A case under 86, 87, 71 (a) Karnataka Forest Act along with theft has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 08/04/2008 at 2000 hrs on credible information PSI Bajpe PS along with staff conducted a raid on house at Ukri Badaga Yadapadavu village Mangalore Taluk and seized sandal wood pieces (20 Kgs) worth Rs.6000/ by arresting Sharif and his wife Sumana R/o Ukri Badaga Yadapadavu village Mangalore Taluk that were kept illegally there.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 07/04/2008 at 1830 hrs one Babu Acharya (52) accidentally slipped into pond while working at Mallappady Padangady village Belthangady Taluk and died of drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 08/04/2008 in between 0830 hrs and 1600 hrs one Mohan (22) R/o Bendody Kollamogru village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to personal problem.
