  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On the intervening night of 18-19/04/2008 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple at Ajapila Bellare village Sullia Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of cash Rs. 9,000/ by breaking the Kanike Hundi.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 1100 hrs at Hampankatta Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. KA-19-L-2803 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Pundalika Acharya R/o Jyothinagara Kulashekara Mangalore a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore East Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 1205 hrs near Mallikatte circle at Mangalore one driver of Maruti Omni car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-6393 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-X-3186. As a result motorcycle rider one Kevin Peter D’Souza (21) R/o Kaprigudde Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Panambur Police Station. On 18/04/2008 at 2330 hrs on NH 17 at Panambur one Mohammad Ibrahim driver Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-47-1744 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an unknown Tanker from behind. As a result Shankar Krishna Mesta (22) R/o Honnavara Karwara District cleaner of said tempo and driver of tempo Mohammad Ibrahim sustained simple injuries. The tempo got damaged.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mulki Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 1430 hrs on NH 17 at Mulki Mangalore one Madhava driver of bus bearing Reg. KA-20-A-1173 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-25-B-5301. As a result driver of lorry one Rajendran (35) R/o Kollam Kerala State and other passengers of the bus sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Sullia Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 0930 hrs on Halegetu-Rangamane road at Sullia Town one Narayana K driver of Alto car bearing Reg. No. KA-21-M-4763 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Ganaraja a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 2000 hrs on credible information PSI Belthangady PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Puri Maladi village Belthangady Taluk and seized 33 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1,236/ and cash Rs. 64/ which was kept there for selling these liquor bottles illegally there. However accused Krishnappa Poojary manges to escape from the scene.
  • A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 19/04/2008 at 1915 hrs on credible information PSI Sullia PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place at Sheni Amarapadnur village Sullia Taluk and seized 37 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 1110/ by arresting one Padhmanabha Rai (50) R/o Sheni Amarapadnur village Sullia Taluk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore Rural Police Station. On 18/04/2008 at 1900 hrs one Shivappa (52) accidently fell down at Valachil Arkula vilalge Mangalore Taluk while waking and died on the spot due to some illness.
