- A case under Servant theft has been registered in Barke Police Station. In between 10/04/2008 and 16/04/2008 one Yamuna who was working as a housemaid in the house of one Sushila D. Rao (78) R/o Abhiman Place Mannagudda Mangalore committed theft of gold ornaments from the same house. The stolen property is worth Rs. 70,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Kadaba Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1700 hrs near old station busstand at Kutrupapdy village Puttur Taluk one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. Ka-21-H-1154 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Sumshuddin (10) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The motorcycle rider escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 13/04/2008 at 1545 hrs at Kolpedabailu Maladi village Belthangady Taluk one Sheik Mohammed Sohaiel driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-1-9472 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against and electricl pole. As a result one Saheera Banu who was traveling in the said auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries. The auto rickshaw driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 13/04/2008 at 2115 hrs in front of Sadananda Hotel at Idya village Mangalore Taluk accused Jagadish Mescom Executive Engineer and other assaulted one Venkatesh C. N. R/o Thadambail Surathkal Mangalore by hand owing to trivial issue.
- A case under House trespass along with Hurt has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 16/04/2008 at 0945 hrs accused Sathivelu (30) R/o Kavu Madanoor village Puttur Taluk criminally trespassed into house belonging to one Jayarama (28) R/o C.R.C Colony Kavu Madnoor village Puttur Taluk and assaulted him with knife owing to personal enmity.
- A case under Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace along with Hurt has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 16/04/2008 at 0600 hrs at Mukadabettu Chibidre village Belthangady Taluk accused Gopala Shetty and Janardana Shetty abused one Krishna L. (35) R/o Palke Ilavale village Chikkamagalur District in filthy language and assaulted him by hand owing to trivial issue.

- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 16/04/2008 at 1715 hrs on credible information PSI Puttur Town PS along with staff conducted a raid on open place near KSRTC bus Stand at Puttur Town and seized 72 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs. 2,160/ by arresting one Koragappa Poojary (43) R/o Renja Belthampady village Puttur Tauk who was selling these liquor bottles illegally there.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 16/04/2008 at 2030 hrs on credible information PSI Subramanya PS along with staff conducted a raid on A.S. Chicken Center at Beedigudde Balpa village Sullia Taluk and seized 31 liquor bottles (each 180 ML) of worth Rs.840/ that was kept illegally there. However Ananda Shetty owner of said shop managed to escape from the scene.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 16/04/2008 in between 1030 hrs and 1100 hrs one Sathivelu (33) R/o C.R.C Colony Kavu Madnoor village Puttur Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 23/03/2008 at 2200 hrs one Siddu (36) R/o Padubail house Andinje village Belthangady Taluk accidentally got serious burn injuries while lighting a kerosene lamp in his house and he was admitted to Wenlock hospital at Mangalore where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on 16/04/2008 at 0500 hrs.
