- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 11/12/2008 at 1115 hrs near KPT junction at Mangalore one Moiddin Kunhi driver of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-H-0594 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-8601. As a result auto rickshaw driver one Saanthosh Sapaliga (55) R/o Padavinangadi Mangalore sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 11/12/2008 at 0930 hrs near Gantalkatte-Netthodi road at Kallabettu village Mangalore Taluk one driver of tempo rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-C-1315 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result Walter D Souza @ Babi (34) R/o Alangaru Marpadi village Mangalore Taluk who was traveling in the said tempo rickshaw sustained grievous injuries.

No. KA-19-M-4487 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against an Activa Honda bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-7882. As a result Activa Honda rider one Santhosh Mascarenas (26) R/o Adkabare Paduperara village Mangalore Taluk and pillion rider his mother Presilla Mascarenas sustained simple injuries.

No. KA-10-AE-7328 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-8766. As a result motorcycle rider one Roopesh (30) R/o Kemmayi Chikkamudnuru village Puttur Taluk and pillion rider Venkatesh sustained simple injuries.

- A case under NDPS Act has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 11/12/2008 at 1145 hrs on credible information PI Mangalore South PS along with staff arrested one Mohammad Ashraf (28) R/o Kasba Bengre Mangalore and seized 760 grams of Ganja (worth Rs. 12,000/) from his bag, cash Rs. 280/ and a mobile phone. Police apprehended him while he was selling Yuriya Dakke at Mangalore.
- A case under Karnataka Excise Act has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 11/12/2008 at 0500 hrs on credible information PI Puttur Town PS along with staff intercepted an Alto car bearing Reg. No. KL-14-G-5287 at Linnet junction Puttur Town and seized 1000 packets liquor (each 100 Ml) worth Rs. 10,000/ from the car which was being transported illegally by arresting Abdul Lathif (28) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State, Hasim (26) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State and Jayan @ Ajaya K (26) R/o Kasaragod District Kerala State. However two more accused were managed to escape from the scene. The said Alto car has also been seized. The total value of property seized is worth Rs. 3, 10,000/.
