- A case of Ordinary Theft has been registered in Panambur Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 0630 hrs accused one Prashanth Gowda (20) R/o Madikeri Taluk Kodagu District attempted to commit theft of Iron sheets from NMPT Mangalore. Meanwhile he was caught red hand by the CISF Constable and handed over to the Police.

- A case of MV Theft has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 24/12/2008 in between 0900 hrs and 1130 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-6981 belonging to one Vaitas D Silva (22) R/o Somavarapete Kodagu District that was parked in the premises of A.J hospital at Mangalore. The Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle is worth Rs. 16,000/.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 0930 hrs near Railway gate at Morgans Gate Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CNX-143 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4774. As a result one Nithin Kumar (22) rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-W-4774 sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Urwa Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 1900 hrs near Ladyhill circle at Mangalore one unknown driver of Tempo bearing Reg. No. KA-20-1971 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Travera car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-G-394 belonging to Health Department driven by one Balakrishna (40). As a result car got damaged. No causalities reported. The Tempo driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 1200 hrs on NH-17 at Pavanje Surathkal Mangalore one Mayyaddi driver of bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-2358 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a lorry bearing Reg. No. MH-25-B-9160. As a result one Veda Bangera R (53) R/o Bappanadu Mulki Mangalore passenger of said bus sustained simple injuries.

On 30/12/2008 at 2140 hrs accused Rajesh and Praveena criminally restrained one Nowshad (39) R/o Basthigudde Sajipanadu village Bantwal Taluk and abused him in filthy language at Bollari Thumbe village Bantwal Taluk and assaulted him by hand and with iron rod owing to trivial issue.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 0500 hrs one Terence (60) R/o near Bejai Church Mangalore committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/12/2008 in between 0400 hrs and 0600 hrs one Vamana Karkera (61) R/o Kadri Mangalore committed suicide by hanging near his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On 30/12/2008 at 0745 hrs one Sankappa Safaliga (52) R/o Pucchala Paduperara village Mangalore Taluk accidentally fell down from coconut tree while removing coconut and got serious injuries and died on the spot.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. One Krishnappa Gowda (67) R/o Patladka Kowkardy village Puttur Taluk left his house on 06/12/2008 at 0830 hrs and did not return his house there after. He was found missing since then.
