• A case under Ordinary Theft has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On the night of 30-31/12/2006 near Private Bus stand Puttur Town some unknown culprits committed theft of 75 meters of BSNL Telephone cable. The stolen property is worth Rs. 4,350/.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore South Police Station. On 30/12/2006 at 1945 hrs near Mangala Devi Temple Mangalore one rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-4769 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Narasimha Hegde (54) R/o Bolara Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Mangalore East Police Station. On 30/12/2006 at 2105 hrs at Balmatta Mangalore one Gurudikshith rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-S-4769 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Keshava Gowda (42) R/o Vittala Bantwal Taluk a pedestrian and caused him grievous injuries.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered Barke Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1800 hrs near Karavali Circle Mangalore one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-U-2874 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

• A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1000 hrs one Santhosha driver of Bus bearing Reg. No. KA-20-B-2255 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-21-J-4928, which was parked at Bakimar Vittal Town. Further bus driver lost control over his vehicle and dashed against one Shantharam Shetty a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

On 31/12/2006 at 1300 hrs at Okkathur Vittal Town accused Sulai @ Sulaiman, Mohammed Sharif and Mohammed Rafique Criminally restrained one Mohammed Javed (24) R/o Vittla Padnoor village Bantwal Taluk and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick owing to previous enmity.
• A case under Hurt has been registered in Vittla Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 1230 hrs at Okkathur Vittal Town accused Mohammed Javed (24) R/o Vittla Pdnor village Bantwal Taluk and a unknown person came in a motorcycle and abused one Sulaiman (28) R/o Okkethur Vittal Town in filthy language and assaulted him with wooden stick owing to previous enmity.
• A case under Criminally restrained, Hurt along with Criminal intimidation has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 31/12/2006 at 2030 hrs accused Thimmappa Gowda, Gangayya Gowda and Vittal criminally restrained one Ananda (38) R/o Sulaje Kodi house Kadeshalva village near his house and abused him in flighty language and assaulted him by hand and with wooden stick owing to personal enmity.

Unnatural Death Report: 02

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. On the night of 30/12/2006 one Raja R/o Kundapura committed suicide by hanging in his room near Bajpe Bus Stand Mangalore taluk owing to personal problem.

• A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 01/01/2007 in between 0500 hrs and 0645 hrs one Kamala R/o Karminadka , Sarve Village Puttur consumed poison in her house owing to health problem.

Missing Persons: 02

• A case of Man missing has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. One Pavan Kumar Goyal (36) R/o Kadri Kambla Mangalore Taluk left his house on 26/12/2006 at 1600 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.

• A case of Girl missing has been registered in Venoor Police Station. One Prathima (22) R/o Kalagithilu house Shirlalu village went to Aladagady Town on 09/12/2006 at 1000 hrs and did not return to her house there after. She has been found missing since then.
