Sukhananda Shetty Murder Case: Narco for Prime Accused Mulki Rafique And DNA Test For Abdul Kabeer Proposed

Mohammed Rafique @ Mulki Rafique prime accused in the Sukhananda Shetty murder case who was arrested from Tamil Nadu and was taken into police custody for detailed interrogation was today produced before the JMFC II Court after completion of his questioning related to the Sukhananda Shetty murder case. He has been remanded for judicial custody up to 18/01/2007.

Further it has been proposed to subject two of the prime accused Mulki Rafique and Mohammed Shakir to the Narco-Analysis test. Accordingly application has been filed in the court for obtaining necessary permission in this regard. In addition another prime accused Abdul Kabeer who was injured while committing the offence is being subjected to the DNA test so as to match his blood sample with that of the blood stains retrieved from the Qualis vehicle seized by the police from an isolated place near the Bajpe Airport on 02/12/2006.

Meanwhile a case of Cheating has been taken up in Mulki Police Station against Mulki Rafique and two others on the complaint of one Vijay Kumar R/o Mulki. In the complaint it is alleged that Mulki Rafique along with Mohammed Shakir R/o Mulki and Mohammed Semiulla R/o Kunigal Tumkur district took Rs.3,50,000/ from the complainant promising to get him the post of Police Sub Inspector in the police recruitment and cheated him by not getting him the post. Further the accused threatened the complainant of dire consequences when he went to ask for the job or to return the money. While two of the accused are already in judicial custody, accused Mohammed Semiulla 30 yrs R/o Bommanalli pallya Kunigal taluk Tumkur district has been arrested today (04/01/2007) and produced before the court. He has been remanded for judicial custody up to 17/01/2007.
