- A case under MV Theft has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 15/01/2007 in between 1930 hrs and 2030 hrs some unknown culprits committed theft of a Bajaj M-80 motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-4532 belonging to one Rajedra Achari (57) R/o Devi Prasad Idya village Mangalore Taluk which parked in front of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 3,500/.

On 16/01/2007 at 0930 hrs at Panamberi Nellikaru village Mangalore Taluk one Krishna driver of Jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-20-N-1853 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a Maruti car bearing Reg. No. GA-03-C-1869. As a result driver of Maruti car Ananda Shetty (44) R/o Kundapura Taluk Udupi district sustained grievous injuries and Raghavendra (16) and Priyanka (12) who were travelling in the said Maruti car also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Konaje Police Station. On 14/01/2007 at 1015 hrs at Jogibettu Konaje village Mangalore Taluk one unknown rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6405 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Prasad (22) R/o Kadenja Harakala village Mangalore Taluk a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries. The rider of said motorcycle escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

As a result motorcycle rider one Mohan Shetty (34) R/o Adenja Kaniyur Village Belthangady Taluk sustained simple injuries.
