  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Mulky Police Station. On 03/01/2007 in between 1300 hrs and 1700 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry into the Jnana Shakthi Subramanya Swami Temple at Pavanje Village Mangalore and committed theft of gold ornaments and other article all in worth Rs. 23.000/.
  • A case of Burglary has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On the intervening night of 05-06/01/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the Higher Primary School at Manikkara Kolthige village by breaking the front door lock and committed theft of house hold utensils and books all in worth Rs. 200/.

  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. On 04/01/2007 in between 1430 hrs and 1600 hrs some unknown persons committed theft of a Suzuki motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-13-J-4118 belonging to one Philip S.K. (27) R/o Koyanadu village Coorg District which was parked on parking place at Old bus stand Mangalore. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 15,000/.
  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Mangalore South Police Station. On the night of 08/06/2006 some unknown persons committed theft of a Kinetic Honda Scooter bearing Reg. No. KA-19-J-3206 belonging to one Sfraz Nawaz (28) R/o Highlands Mangalore which was parked near open place at Subhash Nagar Mangalore. The scooter is worth Rs. 11,000/.
  • A case of MV theft has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On the intervening night of 05-06/01/2007 some unknown persons committed theft of Hero Honda Splendour motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-K-3199 belonging to one Mohammed Moosa (51) R/o Permannur village Mangalore Taluk which was parked at a public place at Kallapu Mangalore Taluk . The motorcycle is worth Rs. 25,000/.

Road Traffic Accidents: 04

Fatal: 01

  • A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Uppinangadi Police Station. On 07/01/2007 at 1500 hrs at Perne village Puttur Taluk one Kumar B.M R/o Ammasandra Tumkur District driver of Lorry bearing Reg.No.KA-44-H-9282 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a jeep bearing Reg. No. KA-21-1221. As a result Kairunnisa (19)R/o Bethrodi Bajatturu village Puttur Taluk, Zubeda (19) R/o Bajatturu village Puttur Taluk, Afsa (17) R/o Hunsekatte Kuppettu village Belthangadi Taluk and another 13 to 14 year aged unknown boy who were travelling in the said jeep sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot. Three more persons who had sustained grievous injuries have been admitted to Mahaveera Hospital Puttur.

  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Venoor Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 1100 hrs at Neralakatte junction Mudupadukidi village one Sathish Salyan rider of motorcycle bearing Reg.No.KA-19-J-8447 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and lost control over his vehicle due which the vehicle capsized. As a result Sathish Salian rider of said motorcycle and pillion rider Bhoja.P (28) R/o Chennaithodi village Bantawal Taluk sustained simple injuries.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 2000 hrs at Parivarakana of Sullia Town one unknown driver of unknown vehicle drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against a motorcycle bearing Reg. No. CTX-1036 driven by one chandrashekar Rao (47) R/o Sullia Taluk. As a result motorcycle rider Chandtrashekar P sustained simple injuries. The unknown vehicle driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.
  • A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodbidre Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 1530 hrs on NH-13 near Swaraj Maidan Marpadi Village Mangalore Taluk one Sudhir driver of Qualis car bearing Reg.No.HR-26-T-3424 drove his vehicle in rash and negligent manner and dashed against another Auto rickshaw bearing Reg.No.KA-19-B-1059 driven by one Hussain.H (45) R/o Puttige Village Mangalore Taluk. As a result driver of said Auto rickshaw sustained grievous injuries and two passengers of said Auto rickshaw sustained simple injuries.
Cheating/ Criminal Breach of Trust: 01

  • A case under Criminal breach of Trust along with Cheating has been registered in Mangalore North Police Station. In the complaint it is alleged that accused Jaison Peter R/o Meramajalu Village Bantwala Taluk, Leena Lidwin R/o KPT Vyasanagara Mangalore and Francis D’souza R/o Indra Bettu village Belthangadi Taluk committed criminal breach of trust to one Umarabba (26) R/o Tenkkaballuru village Bantwala Taluk by taking Rs. 8000/ from him for grant of loan with in a week. The company closed their office and cheated Umarabba and other persons who had given Rs. 8,000/ each for grant of loan within a week to them.

Unnatural Death Report: 03

  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Surathkal Police Station. On 06/01/2007 in between 0930 hrs and 1000 hrs one Mathais (40) R/o Bollaje Katipalla village Mangalore committed suicide by cutting his neck with sickle owing to financial problem.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Vittal Police Station. On the night of 31/12/2006 one Padmanabha Poojary (40) R/o Veerakambha village Bantwal Taluk accidentaly fell into the well while he was working near his house. He was admitted to Fr. Muller hospital Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatrment on 06/01/2007.
  • A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. On 03/01/2007 at 0545 hrs one Rohitaksha (38) R/o Valalambe Guttigaru village Sullia Taluk accidentally slipped into a pit while walking near his house. He died on the spot.
