- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Moodabidre Police Station. On 20/01/2007 at 1320 hrs on NH-13 near Bangabettu school Thodaru village Mangalore Taluk one Joseph rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-V-6255 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Manesh (08) a pedestrian and caused him serious injuries. He was admitted at Alvas Hospital Moodabidre where he succumbed to his injuries on the same day at 1345 hrs while under treatment.
- A case of Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station where in one Somappa Shetty (68) R/o Vittal Town Bantwal Taluk was declared dead while under treatment on 20/01/2007 at 1230 hrs. The said Somappa Shetty was seriously injured by a motorcycle in a road traffic accident on 30/12/2006 at 1515 hrs near Bus Stand at Kodimbady village Puttur Taluk and admitted to the Hospital. In this connection a case has already been registered in Puttur Town Police Station.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 21/01/2007 at 0245 hrs near Krishna Mandira V.T road Mangalore one Balaji Kadam rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. MH-12-DC-4089 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against two pedestrians and caused them simple injuries. Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle and dashed against the Basaveshwara circle. As a result motorcycle rider Balaji Kadam and pillion rider of said motorcycle Aejil Raj (22) R/o Urwa stores Mangalore also sustained simple injuries.
- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Town Police Station. On 20/01/2007 at 1615 hrs at Kurnadka Keminje village Puttur Taluk one Rasool driver of auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-21-9202 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Abdul Raheem (70) a pedestrian and caused him simple injuries.

- A case under Attempt to Murder has been registered in Mangalore East Police Station. On 20/01/2007 at 1330 hrs some unknown persons hired an auto rickshaw bearing Reg. No. KA-19-A-9100 driven by one Ronald Paul. While the auto rickshaw reached near Pumpwel circle Mangalore the unknown persons who were traveling in the auto rickshaw suddenly covered Ronald Paul’s neck with a thread and attempted to kill him due to which he became unconscious. Later he was admitted to Omega hospital Mangalore for treatemnet.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Subramanya Police Station. In between 14/01/2007 and 20/01/2007 at 1330 hrs one Chinnappa Naik (28) R/o Kalmaru village Sullia Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison near his house owing to health problem.

- A case of Man missing has been registered in Uppinangady Police Station. One Poovappa (52) R/o Kaniya house Konaje village Puttur Taluk went to Nelyyadi Town on 17/01/2007 at 0900 hrs and did not return to his house there after. He has been found missing since then.
