On the intervening night of 22-23/01/2007 some unknown culprits committed theft of a Suzuki Samurai motorcycle bearing Reg.No. KA-19-U-2997 belonging to one Prashanth (40) R/o Srinagar Ujire village Belthangady Taluk that was parked in front of his house. The motorcycle is worth Rs. 13,000/.

On 22/01/2007 at 1330 hrs accused Abdul Salim @ Mohammad Karim R/o Panja, Shakeer K.E. R/o Kumble Kasaragod district Kerala state and Zubair K.A. R/o Kumble Kasaragod district Kerala criminally trespassed into the Engineering Works shop belonging to one Pushpa D.H. R/o Ivathoklu village Sullia Taluk and abused her and her son Naveeen in filthy language and also gave life threat to them. The motive seems to be dispute between Pushpa D.H. and the accused persons.

No. KA-19-N-316 drove her vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one Reshma (20) R/o Saraswathi Nagar Padil Mangalore a pedestrian and caused her grievous injuries. The car driver escaped from the place without stopping his vehicle.

On 23/01/2007 at 0915 hrs on NH-17 at Nanthoor Padavu one Sundar driver of bus bearing Reg.No.KA-19-Q-7177 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the Tanker bearing Reg.No.KA-21-792. As a result one Vasudev.B (25) R/o Balpa village Sullia Taluk driver of Tanker sustained simple injuries and the Tanker also got damaged.

As a result pillion rider of the said motorcycle one Ashraf (20) R/o Kunjathbail Mangalore sustained grievous injuries and the motorcycle also got damaged.

Further motorcycle rider lost control over his vehicle due which motorcycle capsized. As a result motorcycle rider one Prasanna Kumar also sustained simple injuries.

As a result one Dhamodar pillion rider of said motorcycle sustained grievous injuries.

On 21/01/2007 at 1915 near Venkataramana Bhajana Mandir Bantwal Taluk one Walter rider of motorcycle bearing Reg.No.KA-19-L-7403 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against another motorcycle bearing Reg.No.KA-19-L-1081. As a result pillion rider of motorcycle bearing Reg. No. KA-19-L-1081 one Dayanandha (28) R/o Bantwal Town sustained simple injuries.

On 23/01/2007 at 1645 hrs PI DCIB Mangalore along with staff on credible information conducted a raid on Khushi Video Laibrary Urwa Marigudi Mangalore and seized duplicate DVD/VCD of T-series Company which were being circulated illegally. Further one Yashwanth Kulal R/o Urwa Store Mangalore has been arrested. The seized property is worth Rs. 18,000/.

On 23/01/2007 at 1945 hrs PI DCIB Mangalore along with staff on credible information conducted a raid on shop belonging to one Ramesh Kumar R/o Kodikal Mangalore and seized duplicate DVD/VCD of T-series company which has been copied illegally by arresting one Ramesh Kumar. The seized property is worth Rs. 18,000/.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Ullal Police Station where in the dead body one Prathap R/o Madikeri District was found on 23/01/2007 at 1530 hrs near seashore Uchila Mangalore Taluk. The said Prathap was reported missing from Ualla since 21/01/2007 and in this connection a case of Man missing was already registered at Ualla PS. The death seems to be due drowning.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe Police Station. In between 22/01/2007 at 2230 hrs and 23/01/2007 at 0800 hrs one Mohandas (32) R/o Badagulipadi village Mangalore Taluk was found dead at Arbe Nadaje Mangalore Taluk. The death seems to be due to excessive drinking.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bantwal Rural Police Station. On 23/01/2007 at 1030 hrs one Rathnakar (40) R/o Kodman village Bantwal Taluk committed suicide by hanging in his house owing to health problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Sullia Police Station. On 23/01/2007 at 1630 hrs one Rajendra (41) R/o accidentally fell down from the coconut tree near his house and got seriously injured. He was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while under treatment on the same day.
