On the interevening night of 09-10/01/2007 some unknown culprits gained entry into the house at Boliyar Mangalore Taluk belonging to one Siraj M.(22) R/o Boliyar Village Mangalore Taluk by breaking the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 22,000/.

On 10/01/2007 in between 1000 hrs and 1530 hrs some unknown persons gained entry into the house of one Premavathi (67) R/o Jeppu Market Mangalore by removing the roof tiles and committed theft of gold ornaments and cash Rs. 50,000/ all in worth Rs. 1,55,000/.

- A case of MV theft has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/01/2007 in between 0030 hrs and 0230 hrs some unknown persons committed theft of Maruti car bearing Reg. No. KA-03-0186 belonging to one Jayarama S.K (40) R/o Guruvayanakere Belthangady Taluk which was parked in front of his house. The car is worth Rs. 45,000/.
- A case of MV theft has been registered in Urwa Police Station. In between 28/04/2006 and 05/01/2007 some unknown persons committed theft of the engine from Auto rickshaw bearing KA-19-A-8436 which was parked in the premise of MUDA office at Urwa stores Mangalore. The said auto rickshaw which was seized by the Excise Department Mangalore in the month of April 2006 and kept in their office premise. Now at the time of release of the vehicle as per the court direction, this offence has been noticed.

- A case of Non Fatal Road accident has been registered in Puttur Rural Police Station. On 10/01/2007 at 1230 hrs at Narsingana Madnur village Puttur Taluk one Hussain driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No. M-12-8571 drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against a KSRTC Bus. As a result Poovappa Naik (38) R/o Barimar village Bantwal Taluk driver of KSRTC bus, Ramanna Naik passenger of said bus, driver of said Lorry Hussain and Jayappa cleaner sustained simple injuries.

- A case under Criminal breach of trust and cheating has been registered in Panambur Police Station. Accused Raju Reddy, Rajan B Naidu drivers of Lorry bearing Reg. No. KA-22-A-4491, Amir Khan R. driver of Lorry bearing Reg. No KA-25-A-5894 and Kiran Kumar owner of M/s Guru Transport Panambur Mangalore Taluk were give contract by one Lokesh K. B Manger, Leo Clearing and Forwarding agent Lalbagh Bangalore to transport pig iron material (26 tons) worth Rs. 4,64,233/ from KISCO Factory at Thokur to Tamil Nadu. The accused persons committed criminal breach of trust by not the material to the concerned Factory in TN.
- A case under Criminal breach of trust and Cheating has been registered in Belthangady Police Station where in accused Dr. Udaya Kumar K.S R/o Belalu Belthagady Taluk, Rajendra Gowda R/o Nidgal Kalmanja village, Ravi R/o Chellakere Chitradurga District and others committed criminal breach of trust to one Shivan K.A. (60) R/o Ujire village by not making the payment of goods which was supplied by the complainant.

- A case of Affray has been registered in Ullal Police Station. On 09/01/2007 at 2315 hrs accused Majeed (32), Farooq (23), Gafoor (22), Shabheer (23) and Nishak (18) all residents of Dharmanagar Ullal Mangalore Taluk picked up quarrel and started fighting over trivial issue in a public place at Dharmangar Ullal Mangalore Taluk. The Police arrested the accused and took up a case under affray (sec 160) IPC.
- A case of Kidnapping has been registered in Barke Police Station. On 10/01/2007 at 1615 hrs accused Aneesh Shetty (26) and Ajeeth Shetty (23) came in a Tata Indica car bearing Reg. No. KA-19-P-7942 and kidnapped one Pushparaj Shetty (26) R/o Viital Bantwal Taluk from Mannagudde Mangalore owing to financial dispute. Upon information the vehicle and culprits were nabbed near Konaje by the police and the victim rescued and the case taken up.

- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 09/01/2007 at 2300 hrs one Sanjeeva Gowda (46) R/o Kadirudyavara village Belthangady Taluk committed suicide by consuming poison in his house owing to personal problem.
- A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Belthangady Police Station. On 05/01/2007 at 1400 hrs one Nonayya Gowda (59) R/o Mithabagilu village Belthangady Taluk consumed poison near his house owing to health problem. He was admitted to Wenlock Hospital Mangalore where he was declared dead while under treatment on 10/01/2007 at 1150 hrs.
