Mr.Raman Gupta IPS (2005 batch) has joined the district for his field/practical training today (29/01/2006). Hailing from Panipat district of Haryana, he joined the Indian Police Service in the year 2005 after writing the UPSC examination in the year 2004. He cleared this exam in his first attempt and joined for training at the Sardar Vallabbhai Patel National Police Academy Hyderabad (Premier police training institute which imparts training to all senior police officers of the country) for 45 weeks. After completing this training, he was allotted to the Karnataka cadre and accordingly he has come to DK district to pick up the basics of field policing. He will be in the district for about 07 months during which time, he will be exposed to all facets of district police activities.Mr.Raman Gupta is a post graduate in International Business from Delhi University and has also done a diploma course in Multimodal Transportation and Logistics Management.
